Pre-CU I was a Master Commando/Master Smuggler female Mon Cala. on the Bloodfin server - my name was Loceedoma Nomerhino and I was an Imperial... In case you haven't figured it out by now, I couldn't join any guild because they 1) hated my template, 2) hated the fact that I was a female mon cala. or both. It pissed the hell off of me.
Bloodfin players were that anal ?
Yes , I remember watching regulars try and make noobs quit the game in tears regularly . Back in the day Bloodfin was a nasty place , With nasty people to boot . But hey it was home
Oh yeah, ganking the poor noobs who got tefed and had no idea what that even was. Heck, happened to me the first few weeks there. XD Forum troll asshats who we all loved ect. ( TFN=Trade Forum Noob!) (Sorry mister crafter noob, btw our guild is waring right now, you can detag and CMN.) LMAO Bloodfin was a great place to grow in an MMO, now it's just full of Carebears.
The best was when guilds like axis would walk around looking for noobs to recruit while they were at war .
Watching those noobs port back into theed was quite funny actually , watching them leave the cloner cursing the people on bloodfin was priceless..
Those are behind the cantina. Less than two weeks in we had no good armor or weapons. Somebody said we might as well be naked for all the good armor was doing. Naked rebel night was born! Except for Rysei we all stripped down and went out running missions. We had so much fun. The server was full then. Lots of people even in Tyrena, so everybody that saw us stopped and stared at the naked group. We had a blast. Went on to form PNX(Phoenix, later PHX ). Later the city of Rinato, Corellia.
Naked rebel night was one of the high points of the game. Total silly fun.
The ping is a bug. The fps is real. I got a new vid card after that.
Hmm how bout this, I stared playing and saw a MCH at Eisley and said wow i want that, so i took my time learning how to play building up my toons life 1 step at a time, never worrying about getting MCH because i figured the ride there would be my content savoring it all the way.
Finally learning about the CU and how we would have a respec when it came, learning how a Masters respec was the important thing to have, so i wouldn't lose out.
I was 150k short of Master so i afk macro grinded and power leveled myself to Master, in the last week before CU, content i missed and failed to enjoy to its fullest ahh well at least i wouldn't get screwed on the respec.
Then finding out after CU my pets abilities were useless to the play style i had built for myself. They no longer held aggro, send in the pet fire one shot from my rifle pow and the aggro was on me.
Hmm guess i would have to relearn how to play this game, nahh screw it so i quit,
So i would say the nerfing of my preferred playstyle/profession to uselessness was the worst thing and drove me to the cancel button.
And it appears with the arrival of the NGE i made the correct choice.
Pre-CU I was a Master Commando/Master Smuggler female Mon Cala. on the Bloodfin server - my name was Loceedoma Nomerhino and I was an Imperial... Actually it was the same on Intrepid, yes swg had a great community...if you didnt mind the stuck up attitude concerning "noobs" and the constant back stabbing, two facedness and con artists that seemed to grace the servers.....the best example i know of this was when new players got conned into selling of there Barcs and swg got two new classes...the con artist and the the second hand classic barc dealer, i thought that little episode in the life and times of swg was just disgusting
As an Intrepid vet, I can confirm this in its entirety. Asshats abounded on Intrepid - the BARC incident above was the most egregious, I think. We had a lot of good people too, though. And I'm missing a couple of them about now.
The worst thing to happen to me in SWG, other than the arrival of the NGE?
Coming back and trying the NGE for a month.
"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." (First Lieutenant Clifton B. Cates, US Marine Corps, Soissons, 19 July 1918)
The worst thing was the nerf To my Jedi Knight, the most crippling Nerf in the game other than what happened to TKM .....of Course I sold the jedi on Ebay for 1,500 soo it worked out.
I think what really hit the nail into the coffin for me was finally getting Smuggling Missions.
I stuck with the game from the time I started in Sept 03 all the way up through the CU, the NGE, and finally the Smuggling Missions. I tolerated the NGE for like a year or so until they finally released it. I hated every moment of it, but I was determined to see what SOE could pull out of their ass.
Just thinking about it to this day still sort of pisses me off. Not to the point of going on a murderous rampage, but still... it just reminds me of how SOE got away with things that corporations and businesses just shouldn't get away with.
Anyway, the worst thing to happen to me was to find out that the Smuggling content was nothing more than a Themepark that had nothing to do with anything, but to get a gun. It wasn't a system even remotely close to what anyone had spoken about on the forums for 4 years.
It wasn't like the BH stuff, where the content reinvented itself, and they could go off hunting people down on a whim, ending in satisfying PvP. No, Smuggling was a purely PvE experience, that had no effect on anything in the game world. No player created deliveries. No Imperial contraband threat. There wasn't even a useful functionality for the "contraband" loot that you received - like trading it in as a reward for Spice, that could in turn be sold to other players....
That to me, was the single worst moment/event in my MMO history. What a complete waste....
But for actual worse thing not realising i was still overt in full stormie gear and being ganked by WEB (shout to yas if anyone on the boards) whilst they where wearing hawtpant's and it being thrown on eclipse forums
Can't say NGE huh lol, o.k. Well, lemme see what comes to mind. Prolly the time I logged in, in my house, and there was some kinda tree spawned in front of the exit. I was stuck there. /unstick or whatever, didn't work, logging out and back in didn't work. So I petitioned. No response ever lol, yeah fun times. Loved that speedy customer service. Then there was a time when the sith commander wouldn't follow you down slopes, even if you crawled down them weaving back and forth diagonally to keep him right on your butt. A bunch of us had the same problem at the same time--bugreported it, petitioned it. No response, ever. And that trial didn't come around except every few weeks. Months later, literally, a dev posted that the were looking at it. Long after it was brought to the devs attention it was fixed, but then deleted entirely with the release of the thing I"m not supossed to talk about lol. I was on my last unlock quest when all the village disappeared for reasons I'm also not supposed to mention -_^. That really did suck though. Then just being a medic after my MasterDoc/TKM was deleted. My heals healed enemies 0_o. That was whacked. On top of that though, the group heal aggroed everything on screen causing instant death--loads of fun there. Basically all my character was good for was rezzing BUUUT, when I'd hit the rez button, the corpse wouldn't rez, and sometimes it would slide like 60 meters away, out of my rez range of course. I remember trying a PVP event during this version of the game. If you hit group rez on one team member all of your team would rez right? Well not when he slides of the screen and you're killed while standing and looking at the spot he used to be. It also totally sucked when I had multiple chat windows open, and due to a conflict with chat and movement coding, this rendered you unable to speak or move, at all. We sent mail to each other to come up with a work around. After we figured it out, and told the devs about it, we got a message from the devs in game explaining our own work around. I'm glad they let everyone know, but I thinking they might have a better idea of how to fix their own work. Then there was the time I logged in and was stuck in the original space station tutorial. I couldn't interact with the console you needed to in order to enter the main game. Couldn't fix it, petitioned, never got a response ever. I had to kill the avatar after a few days of non-response, just so I could join my friends on the same server. Then there was the time I logged in, and the keybinds had gone completely whack. All by itself, they switched themselves to some other template. Again, asked for help, none ever came, figured it out by myself, and then had the privilege of helping other players who had the same thing happen to them, and who also received no ingame support. Then after being told that "we're working on all the bugs and issues, you can expect better quality and customer service anytime now," instead of getting what we hoped for, we got that unmentionable thing. You know what really chaps my ass though? It's when people can honestly look at this kind of utterly abysmal customer service, and have the audacity to say that players complained too much about SOE's busted game.
Dang man that is a nasty pill to swallow , Do you still have hair rofl ?
Ha! yeah, miraculously
Man as I look over my own post, you can really see a small sample of the many things people wanted fixed. These things were just broken, plain and simple, and people wanted them to work.
I don't care what SOE defenders say, this was not too much to ask. And if anyone thinks that people were "asking" for the NGE by asking SOE to fix these broken parts of their original game, I think they either work for SOE, have a family member employed there or are completely out to lunch.
The worst for me was knowing that my pets would no longer be there for me after the NGE.
On a side note, Bloodfin was a horrible cruel and mean spirited server that reveled in the tears and misery of others...

Worst thing that ever happened to me pre-NGE was when I trained the fourth box in one of my FS lines, and the whole line just disappeared. CS wouldn't do anything, had to regrind a full branch. Probably cost me my Elder Jedi after the NGE hit.
our guild master had a legendary krayt pistal drop , it had a durability that never lowered and had almost infinate uses, we had it on valcyn, soga mijzi. when you shot it it took all but 1 out of your blue bar, then our master rifle men used to pick you off one by one.
