in Everquest II
I would like to map my left mouse button action in EQ2 to a key on my keyboard. Can this be done?

I believe so.
You'd need to go under controls and find the entire map of the Everquest II controls. Find out what key is attatched to what action and which action you want toggled to the LMB. Then change it.
Simple.

Yes you can do keymapping in EQ2.
thats the thing.....i know you can do keymapping....i see its got alot of options. I just don't see the option for the left mouse button. If anyone could hop in the game and confirm that its there that would be great. I've looked and looked but just don't see it.
