Not ment to be a negitive post. But I think that wish won't last long. Ok..let me explain. I for one love everything I have heard about wish(except teh PnC movement, but I am sure I can learn to love it) And I want to be one of the first in.. the problem is that most of the cookie cutter mmorpg's have level grinds(which I really really hate) that attract those who want to power-game. Unfourtantly.. the cash comes from these powergamers.(Those who want to get max level, those same people who use botting/macro programs to level when they are not at the computer.. I personaly hate them, but, sadly, they are where the cash is)
So.. with the above thoughts.. how much is wish going to cost? I hope it is 10-12 bucks, but after seeing that it will pretty much cover all the old style rpg'ers/mmorpg'ers who LOVE the skill based idea, I think that, with the lower possible player base, the cost will rise. Now, I will gladly pay 20 bucks a month to play this game, with a smaller more devoted player base, if the dev's truly want to stamp out all exploiters/botters/macro's/etc with extreme prejudice.
Not sure if I am being negitive or positive here.. it is so refreshing to see a game that is outside the norm.. I am so sick of seeing EQ, AC, etc clones, (not that I did not like ac.. loved it.. wish it was what it was 2 years or more ago, but sadly, AC is exploited beyond saving, and not that I am saying EQ was bad either.. just that I am sick of seeing dozens of new games that are pretty much just copies of each other, but with updated graphics.)
Wish more of the companies that put out mmorpg's would realize that graphics don't sell the game.. but gameplay does.
I wish that wish wins out..(LOL) and I promise to be there when it is released.

Thoughtful post but I disagree, If Wish in fact does poorly on the market when released, it will be because of:
A)Poor advertising
B)Bugs, design flaws, and lag issues
C)Poor technical support/lack of GM involvement
D) all of the above
It will definitely not do poorly because the level grind system has been eliminated. The grindloving "power-gamers" that you believe drive the MMORPG market are not in the majority. Too many gamers are looking for a change and if you read the posts on the forums of a variety of MMORPG's, the complaints are almost always directed at the levelgrind system. This game will do well if A, B, and C above are addressed and taken into serious consideration, true this company is not well-known as is Blizzard, which can sell games on reputation alone, but then again you have to start somewhere. And I believe developing an entirely original MMORPG is a great place to start, especially at a time when gamers are demanding a change.
Since when has skill based not had powergameing?? I guess im old UO which was one of the first mmo and a skill based game had bot macro programs. Powergameing is easy on skill based games. Id say go find old uo posts this game is trying to mirror trammy uo so 3rd dawn expansion rules set.
