I'm so ridiculously psyched for Beta 2. Stress test here I come!!
"You see this? You see how my bodies glowing like that? Yeah a lot of people can't do that...come get some of this glowing!" "Oh ok? You want, you want some. You want some of the glowing. Look, man, your soul, I'm totally gonna chew on it and floss with your spirit. I read that somewhere...but I'll do it."

I beleive the game will be ok. Nothing new though. Skill based is great i loved UO, but there claim for it to be like old Uo its not. It has the same trammy ruleset as uo eventually got that drove out the hard core players of old UO. If your a role player who likes to occasionally pvp then its your game. For the old school seemingly unwanted players of Uo. We have yet to wait on a good game.
The graphics are so so from what ive seen. While im a game play kind of guy over eye candy. I beleive there idea is flawed and they should remove the feels like old uo wording in description. Its not even close to what old Uo had.

FYI, they never ever said it was like "old UO", they said it should be attractive to UO players. The skill based system, the point and click, the roleplaying are what they are talking about. Not the PKing.
Mind you, I LOVE PvP and I really hope it can be fun in Wish, but I am objective and I do try my best to be fair.
Point click is nothing new shadowbane along with other games have this style. Role playing well the good roleplayers can roleplay on any game. Skill based several games releaseing have this and will release pre wish.
Maybe im just old but when i first started MMos was with uo at beta. The open pvp system is what made it stand out. The fear of dyeing and loseing everything on you. The plot of revenge to the theif muder conman. Eq released and it was all non pvp. With the hell tread mill. I stayed with Uo till shortly after 3rd dawn. When felluca dried up and players became hard to find in any town. I agree this probly wont be my game. It does urk me that they claim a game that once was of legenary status among gamers. To claim to get back that was once UO which they do claim in there advertiseing is rubbish at what there selling. They pulled me in with that claim but seeing the product its a lie. What they need to say is its a home for horizon refugees and leave it at that.
"2. ok, you get a quest. "go kill leet mob whatever" no other group can ever kill him after you complete it. So what is going to happen? Are they going to have the same quest but a different mob name and maybe in a different location? either way quests will be repeating with kill x or kill y and you get z or you get q. Sure, some world altering effects would be cool but not when everything is world altering. A suggestion to that is instancing "quest: kill leet mob b" and after you kill him you can no longer do that instance. that seems like a more reasonable way of making the world less static. "
Very well could be, but at least it wouldn't be waiting for respawn of Abdul the Horrible with 200 other ppl. From what I've read, things sound good. I like the single world concept, skill-based system, and most of all...housing. After playing Horizons, I don't want to touch a level treadmill again. If I see a game with FXP, and Craft XP...it's pretty much gonna be kill 100 maggots to get to the next level. I like each hit to count, not just the kill.
