The Saga of Ryzom, worth getting it when retail?

I'm looking for a new mmorpg. I'm currently waiting for WoW and EQ2, but those two won't be out till november. The Saga of Ryzom is coming out next week, so I would like to ask you people is it good? What is the pros and cons about it. Thank you.

Looks Great, I mean really, really great - but that means nothing. Has an original storyline and will probably do well in Europe but I've yet to hear much about the gameplay & balance?
I'm looking for something different to the same mmorpg formula sci-fi / fantasy - so won't try it but interested to know how it does & wish them good luck.

The thing I can't do is start a MMORPG just to fill in the space untill another comes out. I also can't play more then one character. I just don't have the time or energy to go back and forth... once I start a game, I usually play untill something happens to me in real life which prevents me from going from MMORPG to MMORPG.
As for SoR, looks pretty good... don't know how it stacks up with everything else out there.
Seems like remyburke just doesn't like anything... the last few post I've read... everything sucks to him.
What will he do next?
I was quite unimpressed with SoR. Good interface, but the gameplay was quite weak.

Ways to fill time=
Sims2= Fun but is good side fun for about 1-2 hours a day.
Fable= Won the game in 10 hours but so much more to do once game is won! Be super evil takeover every town...make mad money owning lots of houses go bash undead become supreme with all skills maxed...pull sword out of stone....get married to many women have sex....and of course see if rumors are true...there is a dragon cave could the dragon have really made it in game?? The singing sword?? Does the dragon guard it??

Played about a week of it...Bla....
Boreing as all hell. Fights take 5 minuets...Click attack and make a sammich.
You can't be an independant crafter or harvester...Get a guild with 20+ hunters to supply you or get out.
Hunting is boreing and bland...There's exactly 3 useful skills in the whole mess.
Most skills are undocumented...And there's no respec. So every time you level you are playing russian roulette with your points.
No useable loot. Same as horizons...Sorry hunters, crafting drops only. After level 50 or so even those become worthless to crafters.
Buggy, laggy. My charecter was destroyed twice by bugs the game released with.
Played the beta......NOT impressed.
Its just doesnt have it. The game is boring for so many reasons. Too many to list here but combat is terrible and takes too long. there just doesnt feel like theres a point to it you know. No reason to be there or do anything. I am a roleplayer so I can have fun in almost any game so for me to say it was bad means it really sucks.
Im at a loss.....not sure what happened. Some great ideas but poor implementation im afraid.
No do not buy it. Wait for WOW or EQ2.
