I'm not really a econ guy either seems like they brought out a unfinished game like when they brought out shadow lands and on top of that their treated customer horrible.
The drop is no big deal given the state of the stock market and the fact that the game isn't growing. What is a big deal is how far it dropped, it is back down to where it was 2 years ago when the game was still in development. That is a really bad thing, it means the game itself did not increase the value of the company even though they put 5 years of work into it.
cool, mmorpg.com playing at being stock analysts again. Consider this........people buy shares cheap (right before a mmo launch) and sell it 2 to 3 weeks after release for the highest price. Once financial figures are released for the quarters to decemeber its not going to be very clear....
if they are that is

which is not a good thing since the shareholders in January was betting on the fact that Age of Conan would be successful.

Yes that would be the many hundreds of shareholders who thought that AoC would skyrocket so much and sales figures would surpass WoW's and what happend? it didn't, they couldn't cash out at $200 a share.
What I find most interesting is the comments on page 3 of the link above, especially the negative hate campaign that site is doing harvesting peoples clicks.
Lets not have our head in the clouds, the stock is no worse than it has even been looking at the bigger picture and the game is not all that it cracked up to be on the hype machine, but its not the worst game in the world either.
I'm not surprised. Between the economy and the game, I'm sure (happy) that their stocks are getting hammered. Remember that we are only seeing the common stock depreciating, common sense dictates that they are/have losing/lost significant subscriber money-flow.

I don't think shareholders are going to be satisfied with the fact that the stock "is no worse than it has been". If the price is the same as it was a year ago, then they lost money. And they probably invested in Funcom hoping they'd make some, don't you think?

You're better off asking Google than in here if you're after facts.
However, I looked it up and made it 53%. I'm no economic genius by a long shot, so maybe I screwed up the numbers. Either way, it's a large amount.

22.80 close today divided by the high of 55.50 = a 59% drop
