I just bought vanguard( Although there's been a hick-up and the registration key it came with has already been used, so I'm taking it back for a new one).
I know it's not a very solo-able game but what are the classes that can solo the best?
Edit: Also, what is a server that has a moderate or small but active population?
Thanks in advance .

The game is solo friendly. Of course you need a group for the better rewarding quests, but there is a lot of solo stuff too. Many classes solo well. I play a disciple and a bear shaman. Both are doing well. I bet there are a few other classes who solo as well.
EU players best play on Halgar, US players best on Seradon or Xeth. And PvPers play on Sartok (only PvP server worldwide).
Well ive taken my ranger to 46 with alot of soloing..as long as u can kite you are fine with a ranger..i play on halgar and the pop is pretty good.
I play a druid and it solo's very well too. Good dps, excellent kiter and some very handy healing spells :-)
The only class I heard about that is difficult is sorcerer (?)
What about Australian players?
And I was thinking about Necromancer... Is that a good choice for soloers?
It is
Australians... its early morning in EU and late night in US .. Best is to make a char and ask on the server about population. Or maybe an australian is rading here and having an advice.
Reverence is an Australian Guild you might want to checkout

Actually, I've got a better question since it seems that many (most?) classes can solo well. Which class or classes don't solo well at all?
I can add that Blood mage is much fun and that he is great solo class. Even he is healer his damage is great. Because he wear cloth its a but risky at some moments but its rewarding - can clear all bosses in Arena solo just when reach lvl 40-41.
Where themepark games try to hide that they are copying WOW, games like Mortal Online and Darkfall make no attempt to hide their inspiration

Bard and rogue, are toughest to solo with I believe.
I have a disciple which is great fun and very good at solo. Shadowknights and clerics are awesome for solo, the knights because they are tough to kill, and clerics are heavy armor wearing healers... Wizards, necros and psionists are good choices too, but squishy as they are robe wearers so they require to watch your back. Which I'm not very good at, I need to be able to pull out a heal if I AFK in the wild for too long. XD

A bard can kite.
I think rogue and warrior might have more problems soloing than the rest. Which is, compared to a lot of other games, still not much.
My warrior alt seems a lot tougher to solo. When you catch aggro you either kill it or it kills you. There is no healing and no running away.
Here's my short blurbs on the classes I played solo for extended periods of time in VG:
Necro: Very enjoyable to solo and later gets feign death, which helps get out of a jam. Relatively versatile class with good survivability and good utility for groups particularly later on in life. Pet bugs are annoying as hell after a while though. Some may be fixed by now, but I did play the necro as recent as 4 months ago.
Druid: Extremely fun class to me. Very versatile, nice speed, nice buffs, nice nukes, usable heals. Sadly, I never found him successful in finding groups like some of my other toons. Good thing I enjoyed him and he was a decent soloer. Couldn't solo what a necro could though.
Monk: Cool class that I just didn't find fun to solo. Maybe if you had a couple of buddies to group with all the time, I could see it being great.
Sorcerer: I found sorcs very one-dimensional and relatively unfun in the end.
All other classes: I played every class for a short time at least, but never found any that measured up as well as the necro or druid for solo play. Surprisingly, I found my druid most fun to solo and my necro most fun to group even though I expected the reverse to be true. Note that my necro was far more efficient at soloing than my druid though.
