Is it natural for players that play one MMO to constantly troll and put down other MMO's?
people that play WoW hate on every little game that comes out, AoC players hate on any new pvp game and
so on and so on.
What are players trying to accomplish by bashing other games 24/7?
Are they trying to reduce the target games subs hoping players wont leave from there own?
Look what happend to AoC in the beginning once people heard about the massive amount of instancing they
Hit the boards hard talking about lack of immersion over and over, its almost like these haters are new MMO terrorists trying there best to sway anyone they can from playing the target game.
I personally think its sad.
Anyway why all the haters? why can't someone just play the game they enjoy and not stomp on other peoples games?
I personally played WoW for a while and left cause it became stale, but i dont go into the wow boards to tell everyone that the game sucks and they should play my new game.

I think that people are of the opinion that reducing other games is easier than elevating their own; is it more effective to point out the flaws in another game than to avoid the flaws in ones own?
I try to avoid pointing out flaws and instead state the benefits available in the game I am detailing. Often I find myself pointing out flaws in an attempt to alert the unsuspecting traveller of the road ahead.
Actually former WoW players and people who just hate the game ALWAYS say X game is a WoW killer! X Game is so much better than WoW!!!11one
WoW players have nothing to prove. The game speaks for itself. We do, however, enjoy laughing at those who proclaimed X game was going to be awesome after it is released and is horrible. (See: AoC, Vanguard, etc)
Ppl like to keep beliving the same thing. When other ppl point out things about other games it disturbs them and they don't want to think.

This is the sort of wow attitude that annoys other mmo players,I mean you talk like you invented wow all by yourself and you talk like you are speaking for the whole community,which isnt true I can tell you that.
on topic,like another poster has said some players find it alot easier to put down other games than it is to build up there own,my opinion is I am a mmo fanboi and will play the 1 I find the most fun in for aslong as it is fun for me,I dont think I have put alot of games down maybe VG at the release but that was more out of fustration as I was really looking forward to it.
I will now set my sights on WAR and TCoS and hope to get my fix there,as for trolling other games I have never seen the point who am I too say what another man or woman enjoy?

I think the amount of bashing a certain mmo community does against other mmos is reflective of the make up of that community. Interpret that as you may.
You'll noticed that some mmo communities are much more guilty of it than others.

Someone who is hopelessly devoted to something and will like anything associated with thier game of choice.
fanbois typically spend most of their free time telling anyone how perfect thier MMO of choice is, and how inferior all other games are. fanbois will not stop annoying other people until everyone they know is converted to their way of thinking.

If you not have mention AoC or wow i would have agree with you if this topic was about bashing on other mmo's just to annoy others trolling boards to discredit there game.
But your fanboi of AoC and think all who attack your baby are just AoC haters from other games and your wrong there.
Sure some are from other games but many like myself have played AoC and very dissapointed with funcom.
But i never go over to other games to bash it, i would also never make topics like this and complain like you do as a fanboi.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.

Playing Eve-online atm sorry.
My topic is about people bashing other MMO's for no reason other than to lower the target games subs. i used AoC as an example due to being the last bash fest on the boards.
Im not a fan of AoC at all, i personally prefer more open ended games.

AOC doesn't compete with the game I am currently playing and I defended AOC against the WAR fanboi's doing what your suggesting until AOC's beta. It was obvious how the beta for AOC was done that they were attempting to scam the public.
While some of the people complaining I agree are trying to set up there own game. The complaints people present about the bugs, linear play, lack of content and misrepresentation by funcom. Blaming the negativity on people with an agenda and ignoring the issues with the game only makes you looklike the unreasonable hater.
I wish people could just be honest if ur a MMO terrorist speak up.
If you go out of ur way to blow every flaw a target game has with the sole purpose of making new players not play the game and join urs let me know.

Oh and if u played a game and it suxed thats a diff story that u being upset that a game u wanted to like got messed up by a noob developer.
MMO terrorist = anyone trying to harm a games reputation so new mmoers looking for a new game will stay away. basically destroying a game before it even irons out bugs.

I hate the "WoW killer" crowd more than anything, wow isnt a bad game actually in my time playing it i came away with alot of cool memories i just wanted more so i left.
While i play Eve now i wouldnt go back to the WoW forums and try to stear people from playing WoW on purpose.
anyway i want to hear from the MMO terrorists maybe someone will have the balls to post up and actually get this thread going.
