So I played a night elf rogue during stress... I dinked around with a could other races (orc, human) also and didnt notice any stat bonuses or attributes for any of the races. Does WoW have anything like EQ where trolls/Iksar regenerate faster, elves have ultravision, others have infravision, druids can forage, rangers can track etc etc?
Lying in bed, looking up at the stars, a single thought passed through my head. Where the fuc|{ is my roof.

Undead can swim underwater without worrying about breathing.
Taurens get plainsrunning, since they can't ride mounts.
Not sure about other classes, but I think there's some other race-specific attributes.
most haven't been implemented. Dwarves are supposed to have a better chance at getting items and the Night Elves should get Shadowmeld.
Orcs - ???
Trolls, I heard regeneration some time ago, maybe they regen faster than your average race. I bet this won't be in though due to balance.
I also know druid will be able to run faster, etc...
Just read the WoW site and you'll find tons of pro and cons per race/class.
What will he do next?
Undead can breathe underwater, are Immune to charm and fear, and I think take double holy damage.
All the othe race attributes aren't in the game yet. (Cept for humies, but that'll probably be changed, since next patch there wont be any skillpoints)

It's the Taurens version of a pet... I gues you need to "earn" that skill before you can use it?

The no skillpoints came out about 3 days before the stress test ended..... It is posted on the WoW bete site.

Guess I missed that. Wow, that sucks, I liked skillpoints.
Warriors and Paladins (Im probably going to be playing one of those) are gonna be hard pressed to buy them seeing as they already have to spend a lot of money on equipment. Hope they dont cost that much.....

The way I understood them to say was that you only had to pay for the skill to get. Then you need to find the next lvl of trainer to advance. But I could be wrong as they have not posted much info about it yet. Maybe someone that is in beta would be able to explane it better.

Not really sure on that seeing that anybody can read the Beta forums.

The NDA was dropped a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
When was talking about the skills Warriors and Paladins would have to buy, I was also talking about weapon skills. Warriors can train in a lot of them and to do that, its probably going to cost a lot of currency.

Since taurens don't get a mount, they get plains running. So pretty much it's just like a mount, without the actual mount. :P

Tauren don't have to pay for it either. Saves them 100g. =D
(Too bad I'm a rogue. =P)

Well actually, if it is like other skills, then you would have to buy it.
Though I don't know if it's something you just "get" or not..

Depends on what skil(s) you're talking about. Lets say 2h axe skill. You buy it for 10s (I don't know the actual cost) Then it increases as you use 2h axes. When you lvl, the cap for that skill increases by 5. The higher the skill, the higher your chance to hit.
A crafting skill? You buy the crafting skill, then you'll increase in the skill as you use it to make items. There are 4 different caps.. You need to pay for each one to increase the cap for the skill. You also pay to learn new recipes. I'd say about 25% of recipes are from drops/quests. They're also putting level requirements on all the different caps so you can't have your artisan lvl 1 nooby alt supplied by your lvl 60 main.
