Will you play Kotor MMO.........

Will you play KotOR MMO if the game is class/level based and linear style similar to Lotro?

Or is it SWG pre-Cu type game or nothing?

PLaying: EvE, Ryzom

Waiting For: Earthrise, Perpetuum

Skill based games are much better than level based games, obviously.

I chose the third option, since that was apparently your "i'll play it if it's good" option

I'm sure that it will be.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

As long as it's a quality product with some great depth, customization and freedom, yes.

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

Its almost unfair to put a sandbox/ skill option in a poll on this site.

MMOrpg.com has rabid Sandbox fans dying for a new MMO.

I will play it to try it regardless, but I do hope they implement some of the classic SWG features like professions and gaining xp to up certain skill boxes.  But only time will tell, I'm trying to keep my hopes to a minimum so I can be surprised.  But I so miss the old SWG and my true Jedi Guardian + Perma Death, it's one of the only times I was actually scared to log into a game because all my time/effort might be wasted by one skilled bounty-hunter team tracking me down and killing me.  Or forgetting to put away my lightsaber in the starport and getting flagged and having 20+ people attacking me, that's my wish.  Deadly and riskful that creates the fun.

I couldn't really say.  It depends on how the game turns out and if what they develop interests me.  Since I know very little of it, or if it even exists in plans or otherwise I can't really say.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I'll play/try it regardless...whether i'll keep playing depends on all around gameplay and enjoyment.

  • I'd play it no matter what.

Yes yes and yes some more. I am always optimistic about things related to starwars, even if it gets bad reviews and is said to be a total flop, i will at least try it.

I would play it just because I love Star Wars...however I would prefer a sandbox because how many wow clones do we really need?

I'll play if there are non-combat professions (entertainers, chefs, politicians, crafters), dynamic housing(not instanced), player cities, skill template system (not class/level & talent based).

So no I probably won't be playing it. I hope it does well though so Bioware can stay in business and keep making Mass Effect games.

I'm not going to play KOTORO period.  The lore is uninsteresting and the latest interview with Bioware on it they were very clear they have absolutely no intention of crapping out anything but a WoW clone with stronger "story elements."

Certainly I will play it. If anything, BioWare have so far never let me down concerning the quality of their released products (subjective opinion here, before someone picks on this).

I love the KOTOR Games. I love Star Wars, particularly that timeline. I've played RPG's in the timeline.

In SHort, can't wait for it to release.

I think I'll play KotOR MMO, and I'll play it however Bioware wants me to play it. :)

I would rather TRY it first before actually buy it as soon it comes out. A Beta test would be perfect to see if the game comes with the right atmosphere of StarWars.... other things would just pass-by because as a SW fan i wil try almost anything new related to SW... buying a game or being a subscriber with monthly fee is totally another issue.

No, i wont even dream that KOTOR would come out as a free mmorpg.

I would prefer a skill/sandbox game, but I will play it regardless. How long I play it depends a lot on the complexity and the character creation and evolution of the game. If there is not a lot of diversity for both player appearance and skills/abilities I can't see myself being sucked into the game world as I was in SWG, and I may lose interest fairly quickly.
