Did you get into Closed Beta after you bought the CE?

So I got to thinking today - is Mythic letting in people across the board without bias, or is there some subtle strategy involved on their part?

I'm curious how many people that are currently playing the Closed Beta of WAR, got the invite AFTER adding their CE key to their Beta login account. It would make sense if Mythic wanted to get as many people interested (hooked) on WAR as possible, to give out beta spots to people they didn't think were already committed to the game (i.e. non-CE owners). That would leave CE owners out in the cold, and without a shot of getting in.

So what's the score here - how many CE buyers got in after adding their codes to the Beta site?

    I've been thinking this same thing for a while now. Why let those who arlready have a guarrented beta invite in for free.

    Why do people always leave off the "I didn't buy the CE" or "I just want to see the results because I don't apply!" options on polls?!?!  So, I HAVE to buy the CE to see if there is a bias or not?   Please, as the OP and creator of this poll, remember you are not the only curious person out there.  I sit at my computer scrambling for more WAR details constantly...  It's horribly sad, really.

    i did not pre order and i might not even buy the game at all and i am in the beta

    I bought the CE but I have yet to be invited to the closed beta. The CE only gives you (supposedly) gaurenteed access to the open beta. That's about as much as I can tell ya at the moment.

    Think about what you are saying TAO. The beta for WAR is FOCUSED testing. One of the most focused to date. The CE gets you a spot in the "not so open" Open beta. Its not your typical OB to where everyone and there mother will be let in (granted thats subject to change). Regardless, if they wanted to "hook" as many as possible that arent already commited they would have announced the CE before CB even started. They would not be doing focused testing rather just letting people play what they have.

    I have the CE and no, I'm not in beta. It has nothing to do with buying the CE, it has to do with I wasnt randomly selected and even more so that I have vista on this laptop and only 1gig of ram atm. Why would they let me in beta when there min. system reqs want 2gig.

    Sorry people there is no hidden tricks Mythic is playing. Its completely random except for contest winning situations and even then its random on when thoes people got, or will get there invite.

    Currently, based on 27 votes, the poll is *heavily* in favor of CE-buyers not getting into Closed Beta.

    Those that bought the CE and didn't get in: 92.6%.

    We should probably let this one run a while, and please - everyone that purchased a CE and entered their codes should try and vote. It might be just a coincidence, but then again it might not..

    I got in after putting it in but I also had the BOOM! comic code so....thats where mine came from. In fact all 3 books I bought got into it I bought 1 for my cousin and 1 for me and my wife. all 3 accounts got in and thus far have not even set up my wifes account as she doesn't have time to play and probably won't so its kinda wasted lol.

    But my CE is on there but I am sure they know those people are getting in open beta so why invite to closed idk really.

    I would imagine for closed the main selection point would be type of build you are running they are going to want to test out on as many different configurations as possible I believe form junkers to top of the line. 

    It's always a crap shoot I have done quite a few beta's and it never seems to be any rhyme or reason on how you get in.

    Thats not what your pole asks Tao. It says did you get into beta AFTER you bought the CE. People saying no could simply mean they got into beta BEFORE they got the CE, not that they didnt get in.

    If you are in beta, you cannot comment if you bought the CE.

    I got into beta within 24 hours of entering my CE code and changing my graphics card from a 7600 to an 8800 in dxdiag.
