Doom The Movie??

well people here we have another viedo to movie production going on with DOOM.  The story line is going to be from Doom 3 that was just released.  Here is some info on the movie....

Director - Andrzej Bartkowiak - Previous Credits is Romeo Must Die and cradle 2 the Grave

Lead Cast - Karl Urban - (bad guy in Bourne Supremacy, LOTR 2,3 and RIDDICK) will be playing John Grimm

Plot Outline: At war with alien demons, John Grimm (Urban), head of a special ops team, comes face-to-face with an organization responsible for the death of his parents.

//wonders how this is going to do....goes off and watches Street Fighter: The Movie then promptly hangs myself

    I don't know...I mean, its doom. How good of a storyline can there be? What I think would actually be a good fps into movie would be something like the Wolfenstein games.

    Or heck, even Duke Nukem. But Doom?

    Personally I'd like to see alot of RPG's be made into movies. Baldurs Gate would be awesome as a movie.

    REsident evil as a film? Is already goin on the second! And it has got as much history as Doom IMO

    RE has as much history as Doom?  lol wow, you really need to get yer facts straight bub. Doom started in 1993. It was also influencial in 1st person online shooters. RE is NOT near as old, nor is it a 1st person shooter. image

    well then your still wrong the story in doom was walk, kill, beat. i wouldnt say thats much of a story.

    yeah with an fps you really can't have that much of a story as it is mainly focused on well killing...now an rpg you can unless you fuck it up like they did with final fantasy.....sigh what a dissapointment.  of course there are going with that horror plot...but just look at reimage

    I actually liked The Spirits Within. And I've heard they are making a Dungeon Siege movie. That surprises me, the central story in DS wasn't that strong. If they did a Diablo 2 movie, that could be somewhat entertaining. And FFVII: Advent Children looks pretty damn sweet.

    It has potential to be a good movie. If so then it will be one of the few good video game movies out there.
