Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

In no particular order and based purely on hype rather than experience with the games or previews:
Bioware's MMO
Starcraft 2
Spore
Starwars: Force unleashed
Fable 2
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
In no particular order...
Street fighter IV, Final Fantasy XIII, (some mmos I want to see more detail about before I make a decision)... But I guess that's it for now, we'll see after the square-enix event which starts tomorrow.
I'll throw in my votes as well..
Street Fighter IV
Diablo 3
I want to see what they do with the new Prince of Persia and of course God of War 3. After that I'm not so sure. I don't care much for the WoW expansion because I don't plan to play that game and I'm not much of a RTS person so as it stands Starcraft 2 does not hold much of an interest.
Other then that I just wait and watch the mmo industry roll on and see what sort of new idea spawns out of it.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
1. fallout 3
2. fable 2
3. gears of war 2
4. resident evil 5
5. call of duty: world at war
6. dead space
7. mass effect 2
8. bioware MMO
9. silent hill: homecoming
10. WAR
gamertag - Swaffle House
I just can't get excited about World At War...i think that one of the reasons that CoD4 did so well was because people have moved on from killing Nazi's and Japanese soldiers...I mean, sure, the idea of frying people online with a flame thrower is appealing...but unless the game does something truly innovative with its online play, then I won't be buying.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
In no particular order
Fable 2
Too Human
Fallout 3
Starcraft 2
Diablo 3
Biowares MMO
Gears of War 2
Halo wars (hopefully this will open up RTS games to consoles)
Warhammer Online
Right now to me seems like a big time for the game industry with so much "ground breaking" games being released and announced. Finally stuff to look forward to.
In no particular order:
Dungeonkeeper 3
Company of Heroes - Soviet Front
Espionage MMORPG
Space MMORPG
Three Musketeers/Swashhbuckler MMORPG
and the only one currently in developement: Empire: Total War
Mercenaries 2
Maybe Spore, but other than that I feel really let down by games these days. It seems the only really good format is Sandbox whether we are talking about FPS games or MMORPGs. Unfortunately game development seems to consistently lean toward more linear and story-based games. These can be enjoyable, but I want another BF1942 or UO.
I'm waiting for technology to allow for one gigantic BF1942 type MMORPG, with one server only, containing an unbelievably gigantic map. I want Clan battles to actually mean something and take place over areas as large as Gazala. I want vehicles that can be permanently destroyed but cost a good penny. I want pure FPS combat with possible 1-hit kills. I prefer this be modern warfare or even Sci-Fi however. I figure I'll only have to wait another 10 years.
Oh, and if it is Sci-Fi, the ability to seamlessly fly a spacecraft(fully destructable) from the ground into orbit, through space to other planets as well as the ability to dock with massive space-stations or other gigantic spaceships and then walk around on them would be much appreciated too. Maybe 10-15 years for this one.

edit: scratch that, 2. Empire Total War.
Riki mentioned Champions online...This game has huge potential...I just hope that it doesn't make the same mistakes as CoH did. (repetetive grinding missions, no craftnig at launch etc) I certainly am looking at this game more than DC universe online...now if there were a Marvel Universe online in development, now that would be something that I would watch...DC super heroes are so....bleh.
Okay yeah, the new Batman movies have me a believer that Batman is cool, but nothing else =P
