They're running oddly late with getting it out this month. Could conceivably be because of something big happening, but who knows.

This, and to be more specific he said the newsletter should be coming early next week. I think it's going to be NDA drop and he will announce when open beta starts at either PAX or the event just before it. (Just my opinion of course.)

Pretty much all the WAR naysayers ARE NOT PVP'ers, but rather everquest fairy boys who can't wait for their NEW HAIRSTYLES and DANCES, that they can show off to the opposing faction as they hold hands and sing cumbayah in Dalaran inbetween killing boars and 30 of everything for Nessingwary for the THIRD straight time.

Tough they said that when "open beta begins", it is not typical open beta in sense that it gonna have NDA. Maybe they changed it.

*cough* Umm, I'm not completely sure what you are trying to say but, yes open beta isn't going to be like normal betas where everyone can get in, and it is never gonna change. All open beta for WAR means is there is no NDA, so it's no longer 18+ restricted and your comp specs don't matter.

Well, no means to be rude but I was barely able to understand what you said, so I wanted to clarify for other people.

Then why did you say the WAR OB is going to have an NDA?

He actually said he wanted to drop the NDA before open beta, not during open beta.  I think the NDA is going to be dropped as well.

  • JoliustJoliust Member Posts: 1,329

Well if the release roomers are right then hopefully they are going to release the date when open beta starts pretty soon. We are getting close to under a month.

Joliust, not sure if you got the memo but the open beta isn't going to be a month long, more about 9 days. The NDA on the other hand if Mark Jacobs wishes to stand by his rules of a good game based on NDA drop does need to drop it or announce when to drop it this newsletter. (Again of course if the speculations are right.)

Edit: And here is the source, look at #3 http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1024541&postcount=374

the NDA is what restricts the age thing because you cant sign a legal document being a minor.  Comp specs i have no clue on. I assume they will take people in who have the specs they need to test and are atleast above min requirment.

The other big announcement possibility is the other thing in the CE edition

See i dont know why they call it a open beta if its 9 days, damnit thats a stress test, point of a open beta is to get all the little bugs out of the way due to the amount of people ,stress test is that + server strength.

Yeah I don't get why they are saving it for the gerams. Whats the point we won ;)

Also the whole 18+ stuff really doesn't matter you just hit a button. Ive meet kids who have made CB under 18 while I get to sit by and watch.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

That is not confirmed so I said hopefully, because hopefully the OB is more than 9 days long.

But he does NOT say that it wont happen.... He's just staying neutral until they release the info.

    Quoting him clearly in #3:

If we need a longer OB, then it will be longer. If a shorter one will suffice, that is fine by us.

    MAN!

This newsletter is taking way too long!

It's all we non-beta-testers have and the wait is excruciating!

C'mon already! Give us something!!! (like a beta spot :P)

Here is my opinion of the WAR Closed Beta So far...

I haven't played WoW or anything other game.  I've been far too occupied with... Beta.

Till Mark says otherwise... well can't say much else hehe

(that's just cruel... but hey... I think the NDA drop is coming, just wish they'd freaking get the newsletter out too!)

Maybe you should come play Everquest and learn what it means to play together as a cohesive team instead of just zerging.

Nah, nevermind, things like teamwork, following complicated strategies, or patience are probably not part of your playstyle anyways.
