nothing like mechwarrior at all. its just a very sandboxy MMO set in space, thats all.

Ok is it skill based though with attacks or just watch your forces attack on thier own?
you target something, and activate weapons/other mods. its the same as other MMOs where you target someone and activate a skill. If you've ever played an MMO before, its like that... but in space.

Ok click and shoot then.Thing I liked about Mw is you had to have timing and skill except with the missles which locked on of course
forget Mw and just try the 14 day free trial, its a lot easier to see foryourself in two weeks of free play
YES ITS EXACTLY LIKE MECHWARRIOR.
lol
In pvp it can be very much like mechwarrior pvp, it all starts with your ship and its load out and then it comes down to teamwork and having a plan with some finer points of ship management and control along with situational awareness. Its very much like playing RTS games just ignore the people who claim its just pushing buttons and watch what happens as they most likely fail at EVE pvp.
Currently playing:
EVE online (Ruining low sec one hotdrop at a time)
Gravity Rush,
Dishonoured: The Knife of Dunwall.
(Waiting for) Metro: Last Light,
Company of Heroes II.
Erm except that in MechWarrior terrain affects your defense/offense/accuracy/etc. In EVE nothing affects combat other than slamming into something by accident when trying to go fast. You can't dodge behind something to avoid enemy fire like you can in mechwarrior, etc.
If EVE actually had collision detection on asteroids, stations, ships, etc (for purposes of weapons fire, which it doesn't) it would be much more interesting.

It used to have it but they decided to take it out.
