WAR is coming... to Fileplanet first?

Warning: lots of predictions and educated guesses ahead.

Fileplanet has made a few announcements eluding something 'stupendously huge' and 'sinisterly massive' being available through open beta via Filefront sometime in the immediate future.

The hints... judging by their history, there is only one game big enough to warrant these descriptions considering the company it will be in:

LOTRO beta

Everquest beta

Age of Conan beta

World of Warcraft beta

Other clues:

Letters bolded that spell 'Darkness Soon'

The capitalized & enlarged letters that begin each update spell WAR

There is only one thing that can be considered 'this' huge.

Couple all this information with the recently disclosed information that WAR is going to be available in stores in less than 6 weeks, plus the closed beta now coming to an end and pre-paid orders are being told they will be given open beta access very shortly.. there is only one possibility.

WAR is coming.

What follows suit in the past is that subscribers get the first keys available, sometimes prior to the open beta being actually available to play.  Once it comes out, or the distribution of keys slows down or there is an excess of available keys, they are distributed freely to non-subscribers a few days after the initial keys have been released.

Or theyre full-of-shit-money-grabbing-sellouts trying to get their subscriber base up and it's going to turn out to be Hello Kitty Online.

Personally, I cant wait. (I bet you couldent tell :P) I got into the Age of Conan closed beta early on and it pretty much ruined the experience for me when the game came out.  We were seriously given something that would barely pass as prototype or alpha release quality.  It was so frustrating to play back then.  As I understand, the game is fairly polished, ready for release they just need to perform some major stress testing.

The first post said the next posts will reflect the open betas theyve had.

The third post said that it's finishing the 'trilogy of beta celibration'

So the next post will logically be the announcement.  Announcements have been spaced 2-3 days apart.

If my predictions are correct, the next post will announce WAR is the beta in approx 48-72 hours together followed shortly by distrubution of keys, or together with distribution of keys.  Servers will be available to play a short time after the announcement (possibly a few days).

    A nd much like Christmas...
    R ed Faction fans rejoice...

    Yep, seems pretty clear.

Then again I left my tinfoil hat out in the rain last night, could be getting rogue signals from Ron Howard.

did thIs turn out to be  the Red Faction Guerilla for 360?

Also:  As a closed beta tester of WAR (I'm allowed to say that)  I can guess they won't go through fileplanet.  There is a couple reasons I can't discuss but the main one is that "open beta" is invite only.

You have to buy a pre-order copy of Warhammer CE to get into the "Open Beta" .  That would kind of piss off some people if now all you had to do was be a fileplanet subscriber.  Not to say the keys will be easy to come by.

I mean they already have over 780,000 applicants why would they need fileplanet to bump their game until after release?

The big announcement is the Star Craft 2 Demo.  WAR is hardly newsworthy enough for fileplanet to make a big deal about it.

It is true that every pre order of WAR gets Open-Beta key along with Head Start and the two items but I have heard *unconfirmed* that WAR CE pre order's get a longer beta. As far as that file planet thing goes I can see where WAR speculation comes from but I wouldn't jump to conclusions as sites like that are infamous for hyping up one idea but ends up to be a mind crushing other.

    Exactly what I'm thinking Daimos.

Well they're advertising WAR pre-orders on the main page now, it's still possible that it's something completley different, although highly unlikely.

They said it was on Gamespot Live during E3 and Gamespot said "hey what about our beta invites?" and then the guy was like all erm........... sure.........

There might be a Open beta key included with the CE pre-order but understand that it isn't the only way.

I don't have a pre-order, nor really looking forward to the game actualy, but like all new games I often sign up to their website to check now and then some info on what is going on. Geuss what I recieved yesterday

Welp it's not the Warhammer Online beta.

    Looks like it's C&C Red Alert 3

Many of you have sent me e-mails with your guesses, asking if Red Faction was the beta in question... It is NOT, the SINISTERLY HUGE BETA that has yet to be announced on FilePlanet is just so astronomical it's hard for me not to just blurt it out with glee. That being said, we still can't give it away - but keep those eyes peeled and fingers poised as all will be revealed in good time. This means if you aren't subscribed, now is the time to do it - because when the doors open to this event the FilePlanet bouncer will be checking your membership card at the door. http://www.fileplanet.com/fileblog/

I tried to point this out in another thread but to no avail. In the July 29th section of the blog it is titled "Yes, it's coming..." I am just going to go out on a limb here and say, I am pretty sure that matches up with Mythic's "War is Coming!"

All these just coincidence? I somehow doubt it, but what do I know. I just got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and all I know for certain is.... percocet (oxycodone) is awesome!
