AOC Forums are on meltdown!

I havent been on the AOC official forums for a day or so for my daily drama. But upon visiting today, all I could find was post after post after post of angry players.
So much so the general forums are now bearing everything i.e technical issue rants etc.
Looks like the mods have given up or something... not one locked thread where one would normally be!
Saved me some time fishing around for the locked threads first for my daily drama intake. Maybe something is starting to sink in.... or they all took the night off?

EU forums was heavily censored earlier this morning and on saturday afternoon, you should have seen some of the stuff that was being said there!
When the mods wake up or come back from the john it will be status quo communism once more.
Wow well anyone who wants to see the state of the game should check out the forums now! Its a friggen washing machine over there... DAMN!
I really liked the game but just got fed up with the lies... and then the broken promises and then finally the over zealous nerfs and bugs.
After that i drew conclusions to how instanced it is etc.
One thing i will still say to this day is how good the graphics were... but that, at the end of the day means absolute crap. Ive been playing LOTRO last few weeks and in some ways that has almost as good graphics and a better player base even if it is PVE for the first 40 levels.
At least you feel like your part of an expansive world in LOTRO. AOC you just want to end the misery and level to 80 as fast as you can... if you get bored of leveling then you prey on some poor guy who wants to level @.@ fun fun...... funcoonts.
In saying that i admire the stand to make another FFA game, problem is you can get that in WOW and pretty much any other game's pvp server... nothing new there guys really. The new PVP changes in AOC should be reverted to the PVE servers and the PVP servers should be left alone.
IMO they lost all their PVP server customers on that change in one fel swoop. Silly.... sillly FUNFAIL, sooooo many changes to a game that is still so young. In the end ate itself im afraid.
Funcom has always been this way. The fanbois would always try and hide this on here and many other forums by saying fc will learn from their mistakes. Funcom don't care what anyone else thinks and the customer has no say in anything. This game will die do to fc being stubborn as a mule.
If you want a good example of this look at this nugget from ao forums from when fc said zoning was an exploit and ban offense lol.

Actually its only PvE for the first 10 levels if you don't mind being on the evil side.

god thats aweful. How you can call this the funniest "i quit" post is beyond me.

I did read this post man, effin hillarious. Unfortunatley this is REAL, a few people like to think this is just another ... WoWboy or smitten DOAC player.
The truth be said, in all the forums ive been in and played MMORPG's I for one have never seen the exodus rants as much as AOC.
Ive read through all the whining and winging biatches to nerf this or that.. BUT NEVER in 10 years of forums have i ever seen the dismissal that has been ever dealt to an online MMORPG company in my life.
The sheer magnitude is amazing, you have a very small base now that is just crying for the people to finally 'leave if you hate it so much' scenario.
The only time ive heard that in the past 10 years of onlinegaming is for character classes being overpowered. Not people using the same term to leave the game if its not working for you. If it ever it was in the vast minority.

Haha, that 'I quit' post was hilarious. I know some people get over zealous with their favourite mmo, but this dude have clearly lost it :P But to be honest, Funcom always been like this. Gaute Godager is a bloody idiot who destroy almost everything he touch. He almost ruined AO, but after Sillirrion took over the reins, game got its future back. Have fun with Gaute AoC-players. We who played AO have been plagued with that moron for too long. Its your turn now

I used to be a fan of the game. I really tried to like it. The game is totally bug filled, and gotten worse with the patches. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
Please people do not accept this. If we do we can just expect more companies to treat us this way.

Can anyone confirm that Gaute was the same director of Anarchy Online originally? I heard somewhere that he was and once they replaced him is when the game turned around. If so, then it looks like history will need repeating if there is to be any hope left for the game. Clearly there are major issues in the leadership levels of Funcom regarding how bad this is going. Half my guild went back to DAOC, and the other half is in FFXI. You know the shit is bad when people would rather play 6 year old games than this.

He was universally hated by AO Vets for years following. I know people who passed on AoC, just because his name was attached to the project, I wish I had been that smart.

I have to agree on that one too. If I knew this before too it would have saved me over 100 bucks and a month wasted in trying to like the game and even being so stupid in having hope in Funcom getting this game around
I don't understand why this moron is still not fired and replaced with a more competent person who actually CAN turn this game around in a positive direction.
Gaute is a perfect example of an Armaggeddon in the gaming industry. Even John Smedly with his NGE fiasco looks like a Gaming God compared to him
