Gaming rig

DravokDravok Member Posts: 55

I am building a new rig and I saw this post on a different forum.  I want to get opinions if it looks like a good rig to build and will run the games I want to play.  I will play games such as WoW, AoC, Crysis, Diablo2, Diablo 3, WAR, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock.  Here are the parts:

Ive pretty much got that setup except I have a different brand of ram, mobo and power supply.   My set up plays WoW full settings AAx 4 and Vertical sync and it stays pretty close to 60 fps even in Orgammir.   If I were outside and didnt have vertical sync on it would be a lot more fps.  My rig plays The Witcher on Max settings pretty well, there are some parts that are kinda slow but only for a split second.   I can also play Vanguard on max settings and havent dropped past 35fps.

I love my setup, I will be adding another 4850 here soon for Crossfire for shits and giggles.

Looking at the setup in the OPs link, I have a couple of questions.

    1. Does that mobo support PCIe 2.0?
    2. Why are they using DDR2 800 RAM when the mobo supports DDR2 1200?

Just looking at options for my new build, I like gigabyte boards...
