i need mmorpg please

CeldainCeldain Member UncommonPosts: 119

i have tried RO, and i liked it a lot, but i want to try another mmorpg, so if you know any other mmorpg that kind of fits my requirements, please post...

PvP would be nice

Guilds are very very sweet, and maybe even guild wars, but that may be too much

big world, i hate tiny worlds...i'm an explorer

parties-especially healers, i want to party with other people, not solo, and i have played healer for almost every mmorpg i've played before, i just love them, i want a mmorpg where parties(and healers) are encouraged

money making not seriously hard...like farming for example? i dont want to sit around baby sitting bunch of whatever i'm growing just so i can make enough money to buy decent armor...

lvl up is fairly easy

skill system...i want a nice balance of skills to enhance my gameplay

i dont ask for a lot of graphics, since my brother's getting the good computer almost always...i just want nice gameplay

events are attractive, but normal gameplay is fine

low on my bills imagei'm not a rich guy, so like maybe 15$ dollars of around there would be nice

maybe the risk of being thieved, i like the thrill of looking back for thieves and pkers, and maybe not too much of a safe trading system would be nice, but i dont really care about that

that's all, thank you for reading and please tell me what to playimage(and remember i already played RO)

Ok, I'll take this point by point for CoH

    "PvP would be nice"

None in there, sorry.  City of Villains should remedy this though.

"Guilds are very very sweet, and maybe even guild wars, but that may be too much"

There are supergroups, which serve the same function as guilds, but they don't do too much otherwise.

"big world, i hate tiny worlds...i'm an explorer"

CoH is definitely bad for you.  The world is tiny, and not very fun to explore.

"parties-especially healers, i want to party with other people, not solo, and i have played healer for almost every mmorpg i've played before, i just love them, i want a mmorpg where parties(and healers) are encouraged"

CoH isn't good on this front.  The vast majority of people solo.  Parties are in the minority.  And healers aren't very useful or needed.

"money making not seriously hard...like farming for example? i dont want to sit around baby sitting bunch of whatever i'm growing just so i can make enough money to buy decent armor..."

CoH is good on this aspect.  Generally you'll get enough money for your loot from killing the baddies needed to level up.

    "lvl up is fairly easy"

CoH is about midrange.  It's not EQ impossible, but it's hardly like D2.

"skill system...i want a nice balance of skills to enhance my gameplay"

The character creation system in regards to skills is quite robust.

"i dont ask for a lot of graphics, since my brother's getting the good computer almost always...i just want nice gameplay"

CoH's graphics are pretty nice, but that doesn't particularly matter.

"events are attractive, but normal gameplay is fine"

The dev team has a pretty good track record on events.  Right before the beta ended, they had an entire alien invasion of Paragon City staged, and they did a similar thing over this weekend.  Expect more of those types of things in the near future.

"low on my bills imagei'm not a rich guy, so like maybe 15$ dollars of around there would be nice"

CoH is 15 bucks a month.

I would say SWG(Star Wars:Galaxies). Many people say this game sux because its SOE, but IMO it ain't that bad.

    Ill go by points too:

    "PvP would be nice"

It has a so-so PvP system, never tried it myself because for PvP I play FPS games, and haven't heard much opinions, but from what I've seen its simple and working.

"Guilds are very very sweet, and maybe even guild wars, but that may be too much"

I, myself, found the SWG community to be a great community, and guilds are one of the great parts of SWG, specially the player towns part.

"parties-especially healers, i want to party with other people, not solo, and i have played healer for almost every mmorpg i've played before, i just love them, i want a mmorpg where parties(and healers) are encouraged"

Parties are good, and healers are often required, specially for the doctors buffing ability and other handful of nice abilities.

"money making not seriously hard...like farming for example? i dont want to sit around baby sitting bunch of whatever i'm growing just so i can make enough money to buy decent armor..."

Money making isn't seriously hard, if you have enough patience to grind past the low levels with a crappy weapon, then you should be fine later on.

    "lvl up is fairly easy"

level up is one of the easiest I've ever seen, (EVE's is easier), and the macros are a nice addition to it

"skill system...i want a nice balance of skills to enhance my gameplay"

its skill based, with a plenty professions to try out

"i dont ask for a lot of graphics, since my brother's getting the good computer almost always...i just want nice gameplay"

    Graphics are decent, imo

"events are attractive, but normal gameplay is fine"

I've heard of events like races, wars, city takeovers and stuff but never really participated in any of them

"low on my bills imagei'm not a rich guy, so like maybe 15$ dollars of around there would be nice"

    It's 15 bucks

"maybe the risk of being thieved, i like the thrill of looking back for thieves and pkers, and maybe not too much of a safe trading system would be nice, but i dont really care about that"

never heard of thievery, but some PKers try to lure newbies into dueling them.

Well I hope than answers your question. Have fun

    RuneScape (www.runescape.com)

    Made by: Jagex

    "PvP would be nice"

It has PvP in a specific area called the wilderness.

"Guilds are very very sweet, and maybe even guild wars, but that may be too much"

There are guilds but they don't fight each other.

"big world, i hate tiny worlds...i'm an explorer"

I don't know if it is THAT big but I think it is medium size, or large size if you include the wilderness which is pretty big. The members get twice the space too.

"parties-especially healers, i want to party with other people, not solo, and i have played healer for almost every mmorpg i've played before, i just love them, i want a mmorpg where parties(and healers) are encouraged"

There are clans people have made where people have differnt streangths can help each other.

"money making not seriously hard...like farming for example? i dont want to sit around baby sitting bunch of whatever i'm growing just so i can make enough money to buy decent armor..."

Money making is not difficult and simi-qick if you choose the right way to make money becasue there are lots of different ways but it can be tedious sometimes.

    "lvl up is fairly easy"

It is definitly easy untill you get to very high level s like 80-100.

"skill system...i want a nice balance of skills to enhance my gameplay"

    Lots of differnt skills.

"i dont ask for a lot of graphics, since my brother's getting the good computer almost always...i just want nice gameplay"

That's good because the graphics aren't very good.

"events are attractive, but normal gameplay is fine"

Not sure whay you mean by events. They haev rando, things thst can happen that are intersting.

"low on my bills imagei'm not a rich guy, so like maybe 15$ dollars of around there would be nice"

It is free or you can be a member which is less than 15$ (forgot how much) and you get a LOT more stuff.

"maybe the risk of being thieved, i like the thrill of looking back for thieves and pkers, and maybe not too much of a safe trading system would be nice, but i dont really care about that"

Theivery is a skill but you can't steal from other players but if you trade someoone can claim somewtjhing is worth more than it is and rip you off if you aren't careful.

anarchy online sounds great for you. it is a big game though. takes awhile to get real good at it. its a pretty big level grind. 1-200. but there is a lot of stuff to do while your leveling. a few quests in this game. the game though, in it self is like one big quest. you start out small and you learn new moves and then you purchase a bigger gun. then your journey out into the city, and you find a friend, and you go to kill things. and then you level and go to another place to kill things, and then you can go to a place called the subway where you kill harder things and boss mobs. then you go to you can go to the temple where there is a lot of really cool items to get. getting the items is good cause you can level real fast with them. after that you can start doing things called missions. you need a group of 5 or 6 people to do a good mission. but it well worth it. and all of that is before level 60. its good game you have buy now RANG RANG!!!

I think Star Wars Galaxies is one of the better MMORPGs out right now.

Yeah it has issues, but what MMORPG doesn't?

Surprised nobody has mentioned Saga of Ryzom for you.

It offers everything you are asking for in a game.
    1. Skill system with a unique stanza system which further enhances skills gained
    2. PvP with meaning. Each of the races have the potential to war each other , plus guild battles to obtain forts and outpost towns.
    3. Very unique and beautiful world to explore.
    4. Epic scale battles with the RAID engine.
    5. Evolving player driven story line which will be the central focus of the game.
    6. Crafting system that gets away from the boring click and create method of many MMOs

At the very least check out their site and see what you think Saga of Ryzom

  • XiraXira Member Posts: 437

Saga of Ryzom sucks. Stop offering that trash to people.

    1) There is no PvP. Sorry but "we'll add menaingful PvP LATER" dosen't count. Duels sure, but since a level 50 can one-shot a level 200 it's not a very well balanced system.

    2) Guild wars do not exist. Guild houses aren't even in yet. Guilds exist, but don't have their own chat channel. They serve utterly no purpose in-game right now.

    3) Healers in SOR are gimps. You don't heal people since heals cost a LOT of skill points...But the cheap self-only heals cost almost nothing and everyone takes them. Did I mention they heal for 10-20X more than heal-other spells?

    4) Farming is a fact of life in SOR. You farm for stuff to craft, for stuff to sell, for skill points, for levels. One Huge Grind.

    5) Each level takes about an hour in SoR. That's an hour of hardcore grinding BTW. You get next to nothing for each level....Instead of useing "Weapon Damage +4.5 points" you now get "Weapon Damage +5.5 points" for your hour. There are about 1000 levels total too.

    6) No theiveing. No PKing. Nothing like that at all and no plans to ever add that kind of world.
