Banned from AoC Forums (thanks player mods)

So a user makes a post saying he was thankful that the mods (player volunteer) had the ears of the devs, and was grateful that the mods shared the players concerns with the devs. Then he asked the rest of the player base to be nice to the player mods.
I responded by saying that in no way, do volunteer moderators talk to the devs. I said they had "zero, zip, o, zilch, nada" when it comes to talking with the devs.
I said this so that players knew where the limitations of the mods are, and so that they arent looked at as speaking to the playerbase as a liason to the devs.
For this clarification, HackThorr issued me a six MONTH forum ban.
Was I a troll? most likely. I do not deny I was a "hater" on the AoC forums, but you know what? I never went overboard. I was never blatantly vulgar. Nor did I BASH FunCom (much...lol)
but seriously, a SIX MONTH FORUM BAN>>????
Lufkin, and Hackthorr both have been abusing their powers for some time. Do I plan to stay in AoC? No. Do I plan on going back? Absolutely not!
But these player mods are OUT OF CONTROL. I have sent repeated emails to Famine in regards to Lufkin, with proof where he is out of line, But nothing happens,
So Piss off AoC player mods, take your censorship and choke on it. Maybe you will be happy when the only ones left playing is the dev staff, and the FoA volunteers....

Your experience echoes that of many people who were censored and banned after a post with any sort of criticism of AOC on the official forums.
It's full lockdown over there, and perhaps that's not surprising since it's a dead game in pure damage-control mode at this point.
LOL at least you got a reply and an email for your ban. I just got banned for ever with no email responce or locked thread.... nothing.
My post was against the TOS of course, but it was July 9 when the term TOS wasnt heavily harped on about as much as it is now.
In my pos I asked openly how many people werent re-subing after the first paid month. I had looked back to see what replies i got and had reached say 3 pages when suddenly the post disappeared.
So i reposted exclaiming what was going on, was it a bug i thought (lol). Two more pages of replies (and not one reply with the usual in before the lock post) it disapeared again. Third time lucky i was booted hah. Mind you I think this was the first time (or close to) where posts started to disappear and the great thread locking started.
May, June there was pretty much free for all on those forums which i thought was pretty cool. Sure you got the haters going off the handle, but it is freedom of speech. I personally thought, wow the forums are following the MA content as well with regards to language etc.
I beleive this has contributed a lot to the games recent decline.

I got a ban too. I wrote a thread about how bad the game was and suddenly I was banned. I don't care, I will never return to this game again.
lol... yeah, you could tell someone (like I did) that they were tools, or that they were morons, or that they were evidence why some animals ate their young.... say stuff like that and NO PROBLEM
But if you say AoC is still in a beta stage (BOOM) infraction for trolling!

I come here from time to time only because I feel like Funcom ripped me off when I purchased their so called game. I know a lot of people that purchased this "game" understand but I'm not sure why everyone else doesn't. Funcom is pushing the negitive people out of their forums, they want you out. If you say anything bad about their game you are going to be tagged, and if you make a wrong move you will be banned period. Their game blows, their customers service blows and their feedback to their player base really blows. So just cancel your account and move on like the hundreds of thousands of us did. Go back to WOW, EVE, EQ2, whatever, get back with your friends playing a game that you will enjoy and have fun with, forget Funcom and AOC, it's dead. For the fanbois write this down, in the next couple of months they will be merging servers, period and I wouldn't be looking for any PVP stuff, they will not have the money. Funcom is hurting bad and without the money rolling in every month it's over. So enjoy what you have now because that's all you are going to get, a sucky buggy boring game, enjoy

All this guy did was state that the Moderators aren't liasons to the developers which means they have zero feedback capability to the developers. Yet his post is unmoderated and your post got moderated?
I smell something fishy.

Heh, I'm permanently banned from posting on AoC forums as well. After infractions, I told the Mod to shove his censorship up his crap pipe lol.
Remember the time when Squaresoft went bankrupt for releasing Final Fantasy: Spirits Within? Same with Funcom for releasing Age of Conan, they'll go bankrupt, and sell the company to another company. It will be Age of Conan by SoE, or something like that. Funcom's day is coming, but I mean Age of Conan will never get shut down, but I'll admit, population 500, rofl
Im sure all the mods are crying, but they took it out of context....
