Before anyone flames me... I have never played AoC, I have it on order, I will give it a try, But I for one am getting sick of all these "AoC Fails" "AoC sucks"
You have your opinions, To other people the game my be what they want, Just because someone likes it, You call them Fanbois or whatever.
Soo putting it that way, You play your game you like are you a fanboy for that too? I'm sure you are. Because nothing can beat that game can it?
AoC i'm willing to give it a try, If I don't like it, I wouldn't spam it all over the forums, That's just childish. If you don't like it, Keep it to yourself, I visit these forums like virtually everyday and I see ALOT of AoC flames and i' getting annoyed with them.
I persoanlly think the mods here should just straight up delete them with no question. Comparing WoW and AoC is rubbish too, They are 2 different games. May look the same, But how does that make it the same game? "AoC vs WoW" this is total bullshit. "OMG AoC is a CLONE of WoW!"
Just please people stop with all these useless post, AND no i'm not part of AoC team, I'm not a AoC fanboi. Before you lot accuse me. Infact i'm nothing to do with it.

that's not going to happen. Lots of people left wow for it, enough for blizzard to mention it. However by blizzards statistics 40% were resubbed to their game at the end of the month.
By my sarcastic guess the other 20% moved on to multiplayer shooters, 20% have decided to not bother with multiplayer games anymore, 5% are playing AoC, 4% gave up video games, and 1% decided to jump off a bridge.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
When you look at your box when you get it, you will notice it has Direct X 10 on it. Direct X 10 functionality not only is not in the game, but will not be in until somewhere in 2009 if the game still has anyone left playing. It is one example of being misled by Funcom that you will soon be familiar with.

The amount it gets spammed here is unbelieveably rediculous.
That's the problem. Instead of people who've never played it flaming, most flamers are people who've played it and quit. So, when AoC stops being a bad game, the flames will be quenched. To some people the game WAS what they wanted, until they discovered it was broken and unfinished. Those who are still playing tend to steer clear of forums altogether and just play the game, because they know they're playing a broken product - but they're having fun and that's okay.

AoC is a great game, I have two 80's and tho I admit it isn't finished, I still love it.
I got AoC the day it came out, i dont feel cheated, lied to and im still playing AoC enjoying it
(No im not a fan boy). But look what I think the OP is trying to get across is if you dont like a game its fine but dont spam about. AoC is a good game but it is buggy and sure dosent have DX10 but it has awesome potental.

Ah yes, my wording was a little odd. I knew that there will always be flamers but when I said "quenched" I meant as in the flames won't be in-your-face every time you go to an AoC forum. They'll still be there of course but they won't be to the extent that you're sick of. There's so much material for burning when it comes to AoC! First it started with the big things, then as people got more and more sick of it the little things caught on fire too. Flames everywhere ahhh!

Welcome to an open gaming forum, where everyone has the right to rant, vent, bash, discuss any game they want as long as they don't break the rules.
I suggest you would find the official forums better, as the opinions of those who have been screwed over by the game and Funcom do not last long before Funcom deletes their threads so players who can only handle sunshine and roses don't have to be offended.

If i was you, I would just ignore everything you see here or there or anywhere. You have commited yourself now to the game. Make the most of it and have fun.
Why come here and even talk about a game you have yet to play... really.... it might not be in your best interest if you dont like it after a while.
Seriously when i start any game i avoid forums like the plague, I only go there initially to see the general flavour of the forum and to get an idea of a class i have already got a few ideas about.
To go to a general forum, is just rediculous. Even more rediculous is to come here and defend something you know nothing about since its still on order.
Please do not post any further until you have had at least past the tortage experience. Even then you will still not know what all this fuss is all about.

Freedom of speech. Though i do believe people are taking the hate of this game too far. People do need to get over it and find something better to do with their free time. The thing is, people like to express their opinion about games and if that means crying over it then by all means they do it. Just let it be and hopefully they will cry themselves to sleep.

AOC is the game that everyone loves to hate. Thats just how it is - and its not going to change any time soon.

Nadril, you are wasting your breath talking to Avery about AoC.
We tried to tell him about this game back before AoC was even released that it would be a pile of garbage and he defending it like it was liquid gold.
Even now when AoC is on a huge steady decline with entire guilds up and leaving the game, he still hangs in there.
Though I commend his loyalty to AoC, it is still a waste of breath to try and tell him that AoC isn't doing to well and that AoC players are a minority.
I would assume even when he is the last player left in AoC. That he will still defend it on this forum.

Many of you are not understanding the OP's point. You even go as far to throw out the good ol' 'It's an open forum and we're allowed to express our opinions!' line. That is true...but does it take you fifty posts to do so? (figuritive speech). Of course if you are upset over Funcom or the game design you should express your opinion. But many of you go out of the way to to do so where you may have it scheduled on your calendar as a daily task to accomplish. There is a point where you do it so much folks merely tune you out. I have tuned out many of you even in this thread some time ago because you lost merit by continually bashing and saying the same things over and over as if folks couldn't read them fifty posts ago.
I agree with the OP. You like it, great. You hate it, sorry you didn't find your game. You want to express your opinion then go for that too. It just doesn't take the amount of posts some of you toss up to do so. At this point no one here can come up with something that we already haven't heard. So let those who will give it a try discover for themselves as it is their gaming and their choice. Saying lines like 'A fool and his money are soon parted' is pointless. You don't know if he'll enjoy it or not because you are not him.
So respect to you OP and hope it works out for you. I play AoC myself but can honestly say only the people I game with are keeping me there. Luckily for me the person I run around with is on pre-order with WAR like I so hopefully that will prove to be our game. In the meantime I am enjoying the folks I surround myself with and the few good things about AoC. I know some in my guild love the game and I say more power to them. For me it is just merely lukewarm and good enough to keep me till I can try others. I refuse to return to WoW, heh. Been there and done that too many times over.
I truly hope you like it.... I loved it till I got to 80...then I disliked it when I got my 2nd character to 80... by the time I got my necro to 71, I was begging the nurse to come by and refresh my morphine drip....
Many have said from the start.... FunCom LIED, used false advertising, and is seemingly VERY willing to swing the ban bat at any target.... so dont get to comfortable in the game.
PS... dont stand on ANYTHING while you are fighting.... you will be banned for exploiting.

Yeah I figured. I just can't see how someone can still so blindly be a fanboy after three months of the game getting worse, instead of better.
Even I was a big fanboy at launch, but that all changed.
