I think Guild Wars will be a really great game! I have read tons of good stuff about it and looked at soooo many videos online about and of it. My only big concern is that I get my hopes up so much that I acctualy will be disapointed when I start playing. That it will seem just as a nother game.
I hope Im wrong but I will not expect so much from now on and maybe I'll be really happy with it insted
MY GUILD WILL BE THE GREATEST!!!!

Am new to the mmorpgs and i have to tell you, this is one of the games am becoming interesed.
I been looking for world of warcraft for some time but then i heard about this one, and interesing enough it was made by blizzard developers... thats when it hit me, can this game be the surprise of the year and kick wow and eq2 butts ??...not really a surprise, because many say its good, but guildwars is not having so much press as eq2 and wow, you know...
Can this game be better than wow??, ive played the wow stress beta thing, and it is great, really fun, but am not buying anything until i try this baby
And yes the lack of a montly fee i think is gonna be one of the greatest attractions of this game, personally if i can find 2 great and fun games, one of them has a montly fee and the other one dont, its an obvious choice...
You know this mmorpg race its driving me crazy, i cant make a decision!!! .
ps:and in top of that all of my friends are going to wow, so i may end up going for this game alone... that sucks
Guild Wars is not a MMORPG. It's called a CORPG [read below].
Guild Wars is a competitive online role-playing game. Players can engage in cooperative group combat, in single player adventures, or in large head-to-head guild battles. Guild Wars is a mission-based game set in a stunning 3D fantasy world that offers full, integrated support for guilds. Because the team that is developing Guild Wars has had experience creating successful online game series such as Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo, the members are familiar with the complex issues surrounding online games, and are creating a game that's both easy to learn and compelling to play long term, and yet doesnt require players to spend hundreds of hours slogging through the preparation just to get to the fun bits.
I also played the E3 alpha? and I had to say I was very impressed with what I seen. Another nice thing, no monthly fees.
This game is no where like a MMORPG, missions, quest, etc... but then again, it is.
Guild Wars is geared for PvP, fast action, non stop fighting. Small groups of 15 vs 15... but when wanted, you can level up and get new items, skills, whatever... it's a very neat system. It's going to be in my collection of ever growing games.
Just remember, this isn't a MMORPG... but has some similarities.
Just go to the Guild Wars site and read the FAQ.
What will he do next?
And am not sure how is going to be exactly but for what ive read in the website, am inferring that instead of having all of the players at once in a giant area like lets say world of warcraft, they are separated in instances so you have a group of players figthing, others doing a quest , leveling and others meeting in a town hanging out or whatever so a group of normal servers is able to support that...

You will like it, if you like pure missions, because that is what guild wars is. There is the "single player" map, which is basicly an instanced map where you go around killing mini bosses for skills and stuff, and there's "missions". The missions can be co-operative, single, or PvP basicly. During E3 demo there were sort of mission rooms where you basicly had to say LFP a million times to get invited to a party and then go do a mission with 4 people or something.
Do not expect heavy dialog in this game. Do not expect alot of "exploring" because the missions are gauntlet style from what I've seen, you have 1 or two paths to go. Expect alot of PvP. Do not expect the same graphics you've seen on mmorpg.com "Guild Wars" page when you completely zoom out from your character. Do not expect alot of tradeskills
Anyhow you get the idea, it's Diablo Online really, some people will like it some won't.
EDIT: Personally I think GW is overhyped a little. Too many people say arena.net reworked mmorpg's weakness and turned them into gold, GW isn't a standard mmorpg and shares very little aspects. I might check it out after it comes out, but I'm leaning towards a few other games atm.
There is alot of PvE
There is even more PvP
There is alot of Exploring either Solo or with Groups in the Hunting Grounds and will take some time to explore the very nice new map design they have.
About 450 skills , 75 per profession for this chapter
There starting to improve the NPC chat interface
My gues also is that their gonna sell alot of copies which could produce alot of players online at the same time which also is not server split so any person can find another person at any given time by metting up in the same district of a map.

Guild Wars would be the ish. King of all MMO games, including MMOFPS. Nothing could be better than an MMO for free.
