After burning out on CoH, and the release of GW still a few months off, I find myself lacking for an MMORPG to hold my interest. Here's a list of requirements for it to be a "good MMO," at least for me.
1.) grouping. It should be at least encouraged, if not required. I don't play MMOs to solo, I play them to play with friends.
2.) Healing. I love playing healers. Having healers be required in the game is excellent for me. If not, at least heavily encourage them.
3.) travel time. I loathe long travel times. I don't want it to take an hour to get to my destination. This was one of the reasons why I quit FFXI
4.) farming. BAD! I hate having to kill 20 billion crawlers so I can eventually afford my armor and weapons.
5.) PvP. PvP is a plus for me, so long as PKing is NOT prevalent.
6.) Missions. I don't particularly care if the game is mission-centered, but if it s, they'd better be good ones. I loathe fed-ex quests. I hate killing eighty rabbits just to find the one item I need to finish up my quest.

I burnt out on CoH in the first week...probably knew it was coming sooner than that dues to its very very PvE tedious game-play.
I'd say look into WoW for the short term. . .it has some wonderful game-play range, and then for longer term:
Trials of Ascension: http://www.shadowpool.com/index.php
Darkfall Online: http://www.darkfallonline.com/
Mourning: http://www.realmsofkrel.com/
WoW is probably the soonest game that's pretty close to that.
But, Ryzom has the same things you want and it's out now, so you can play that til WoW comes out.
Some people say that the missions in Ryzom aren't very content oriented and that's because the world-quests arent out yet since the game world changes, so the missions they are talking about are the little get some cash, gain some faction ones. The big ones aren't out yet.

Saga of Ryzome is nothing like what you are looking for. It dosen't match a single one of your points.
1) Grouping is not encouraged. Since people can usually solo things that give them max exp...Groupies are only there to take your exp away.
2) Healing is not encouraged. Everyone buys the extreamly cheap self-heals...Which are 10-20X as effective as the heal-other spells, which cost much more.
3) Sloooooooooow movement. No mounts. No transport system until you are level 200+.
4) SOR = Farm. You farm for componets. You grind those componets into items. You farm for levels. You farm for skill points.
5) No PVP. Duels yes...and an arena. That's all. By the way the arena is in a level 200+ area. Duels are even unbalanced...Most people can one shot most other people.
6) There isn't a single quest in the game that's not fed-ex. "Craft me 8 boots and I'll pay you less than they cost to make" -> "Kill 4 kippies"
BETA TESTED : Everything
Playing : AO, IL-2 FB AEP, OFP
Waiting for : D&DO, MEO, D&L
Actually AO is more on the tedious/camping end of the MMO spectrum.
AC2 has done some nice revamping and has all the qualities mentioned plus a 15 day free trial. Might be a good interim game until WoW or EQ2 comes available.
