Wotlk items just look sick. I'm glad they're going back to their roots away from the sci-fi crap of the last expansion. Check out this death knight axe. Prettiest thing since arcanite reaper:

Yeah, it looks neat and it fits with the theme of WotLK.
The "sci fi crap" from TBC fit with the theme of the Naaru.
If the next expansion is set in the islands then you will most likely have all the weapons and armor have an under water theme to them.
If the next expansion is set in The Emerald Dream you will have all the weapons and armor have a natural woodsy theme to them.

I think that since its their IP they can go as crazy off the walls nuts with it as they like.
However its VERY common in Fantasy games to have "portals" to other worlds
So why is it so strange to have aliens from a giant crystal space ship?
I mean geeze most people say they are tired of fantasy, so maybe this was Blizzard's way to try to throw in a little for everyone, Honestly I like the Nei, however I mostly just like to kill them.

The entire first two games were based on the meeting of two races from different worlds. Add a third race, and it suddenly is vastly conflicting with theme?
Unless you're talking tech. WC2 had helicopters, WC3 had tanks.

Well everyone has their personal opinion. Being a warcraft fan I personally will feel more at home in wrath. I'm just saying I like the way things look in wrath. Sorry you take issue over it. You guys will argue over nothing.
Awsome. Since some of the season 4 stuff I was starting to worry about artists at blizzard. This looks great.
You would hope they could come up with something original... Fist weapons look original but the rest are slightly altered and re-skinned copies of other models. I stopped playing this game 6 months ago and I recognize them still...

To the OP, yes alot of those are reskinned models BUT alot of them are models I haven't recognized. Note I was looking at the weapons coffee linked. I saw S2 axes there and S2 swords, with different skins, but the bows were new and some of the 2H weapons. Obviously if they just reskinned everything people would notice and call them out on it. I liked the Death Knight and Dalaran weapons the most.

I like the axe with the skull the most. I miss my arcanite reaper and think that'll do nicely.

I disagree none of those are re-skins Ive played wow for close to 4 years and been in end game. So no I do not believe any of those are reskins after all they are all themed northrend etc. If you can provide evidence that just 1 of those are a reskin then ill concide.

Yeah I've asked for links to the supposed similar gear and so far nothing.
I really like the look of those DK rune blades. And the lion head shields from the new cavern's of time instance look awesome. The kind of true high fantasy stuff i'm wanting.
