think you gotta pre-order WAR to get into OB. Though if the beta number is legit, THAT'S FREAKING INSANE FOR ONLY NORTH AMERICA! WAR will easily have 1million subs in the 1st week... AND THAT'S ONLY IN NORTH AMERICA!

the website says the file will be available for download on the 15th of August. I can only assume you have to wait until then to enter your beta code as well. They haven't let us know when open beta starts, but it will be pretty soon, and probably not before the 15th.
If you preorder from the retailers off of the website, you will get an open beta code. Seeing as it goes live Sept 18th, and there is a head start for CE orders, I would guess the OB will start between the 15th-22nd of august. Ofcourse this is speculation seeing as they have not announced the official open beta date yet.. But seeing as they want everyone to create their accounts, enter their OB codes, and download the client on the 15th, one would assume it can't start too much later.

I would imagine that the open-beta would be 2-3 days after August 15th.
Are you talking about the beta applicants number ? lol That isn't how many people pre ordered. That is the number of how many "people" applied to the beta process since the very beginning. Every person I know applied more than once lol. Also you would have to assume that every person who applied for beta would buy the game, which would be incorrect.
