i'm looking for a game. there are criteria that this search conforms to.
1. it has to be online.
2. it has to be played with other people.
3. it cannot be contained in a browser.
4. it must have either a class or skill based system of advancement.
5. it must allow the class, "thief", or a skill based representation of the class including stealth and stealing skills.
i don't demand a whole lot, really. i just haven't been able to find a good game that includes this, and i figure this would be a lot easier than downloading every game that might include what i'm looking for, applying for trials, betas, accounts, etc. it could be a lot of hassle. so anyone know of something like what i'm looking for here?

see that thing that has sort of a squareish oval shape that ur right hand rests on, some left hands, ya its a mouse, good, now utilize that mouse and browse some friggen games, or at least check back with the 32561615 topics that are asking "what is a good game that has such and such in it" ktnxbye

i've been browsing and trying out trials, betas, etc. for awhile now. before posting i did my best to search the forum. i went back 22 pages, and searched using the search bar and came up with nothing helpfull at all. that's why i decided to simply ask the community here since everyone here plays atleast one game, maybe someone plays a game that's sort of what i'm looking for.
stealin skills or kills? either of them and i dont want you playing that game if i am lol

if i was usin' stealing skills, it wouldn't be very practical to steal kills.
Have you tried Shadowbane? I know a lot of people talk it down but they have made many improvements even if you have tried it before take another look you might be pleasantly surprised.

A free game is Rubies of Eventide. There's a thief class, but the stealing is disabled right now due to a bug. But it's being worked on. For a p2p game, I recommend WoW. There's a rogue and they have a pickpocket skill
In anycase try RoE first since it's free, and if you don't like it, wait for the WoW open beta 
Should be in the next 1-3 months. Ignore the nov 12 release dates because there's no way in hell it'll happen 
SOE makes decent games that appeal to nerds. Their customer service is run by jocks who bully nerds. Wonder why SOE sucks so bad...
i didn't want to make a third thread, and i've given the suggestions a try. shadowbane is really cool, but i can't make it work without large graphics problems, and i can't get any assistance on that front. everything topnotch and up-to-date from the get-go and that's just a perfect formula for stumping shawdowbanes support for some reason. oh well.
so anyone else played a game with rogue classes?
UO had cool stealth rogue classes back in the day.
with skills like snooping hiding stealth pickpocket lockpicking poisoning it was good times...
not sure what its like now cause its been years...
