I plan on returning to Lotro soon, its been a while since I last played. But once again, playing WoW is unbearable.
So i was wondering if anyone had any server suggestions. A decently populated server would be nice. Id also like to join a friendly guild (mabey even an RP guild). So if anyone is recruiting, let me know.
Thanks

I'm play on the Elindilmir server. This server is a good mix of US players and AUS & NZ players. It has a decent population without being too overcrowded. I recently joind the kinship "Rangers of Ithilien" which does some light RP. I believe the leaders name is Lleanriel if you are interested in joining.
I play on Landroval and have to say i am more then happy there.
good community , good Eteenmoors leaders, lots of good kinship, the all deal.

I play on this server as well, people on at all times of the day and never have a problem finding a group at all. Anywhere I go I always run into a few players, but not enough to be overpopulated seems about perfect.

Thanks guys. I think ill reactivate today.
Any suggestions on what class to try out?
Whats your fav playstyle?

Well in Wow my main was a paladin.
I like to be able to solo well, but also be helpfull to a group when needed.
Hunter = mage but with better defense, traps, and tracking
Guardian = Arms/ Protetcion warrier, but with combo chains similar to melee classes in DAoC (if that means anything to you)
Champion = Fury/ Arms warrior, but with tons of AoE damage (best in the game)
Minsteral = Kind of like a preist that can switch between shadow and holy spec at will
Burgler = no good analogue in WoW. Medium DPS, stealth, many forms of crowd control, can activate fellowship maneuvers (can heal, regen power, or add massive DPS when in a party), slow soloers
Captain = also no good analogue in WoW. Sort of like a paladin that gets pets and totems (but you can only use one or the other at any given time). Main healing ability can only be triggered right after you kill something. Really shine in a party (even a 2 man), but in my opinion torture to solo with at low levels (though there are certainly those that would disagree with me).
Loremaster = seriously no analogue in WoW. Closer to an EQ classic enchanter than any other class I'm familiar with. Crowd control and debuffing specialists, decent DPS, variety of pets that are usefull in different situations. Challenging solo toons at low levels.
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
I play a Loremaster on Silverlode (Firedorn) and just hit 50 recently. As the previous poster said, a LM has a tough time to solo in the start, but once pets come in and you can manage aggro well enough, it becomes a lot easier. LM in groups is great too, mostly for CC and the occasional last second heal (on a cooldown). Also helps to keep healers active by transferring power to them (mana heal).
Pets make for good off-tank, or at higher levels, high burst DPS with the lynx. Overall, I have not regretted leveling my LM to 50. Now I gotta start experiencing the high-end content.
Look me up if you roll Silverlode.
Thanks for all of the help.
I ended up making a LM on Landroval (Beloriel).
Excellent choice You'll love the insane damage your lynx does (stealth attack + signature pet trait: 1200+ dmg critted for me:), the mezzing of *everything* (undead only at high levels though) - if you master an LM very well you'll be laughing solo and will always be wanted in a fellowship
