Like the doomsday clock. Only with the Darkfall clock the hands get moved closer or further away from a Beta with every new piece of info that gets released.

that clock would be permanently fixed at 1 minute to midnight, and wouldn't budge for Claus, or even Dr. Manhattan himself. then you'd have some people saying "i see the seconds hand moving!" or "i saw it move last night!!" or "my friend has inside info and he heard that they're going to move the seconds hand tomorrow!!"

Mahlo's image is actually correct. It shows that we never know where Darkfall is going to start the time and end. Your post seems a little mundane and almost to pretentious at being witty. You fail.

Close. but it should show a seconds hand continually trying to climp up the 9 o'clock side but gets stuck and ticking the same second over and over. Like when a wall clock has a low battery and just gets stuck until it eventually dies.
