LFG grouping heavy and endgame heavy.

ive been a huge fan of FFXI and EQOA/EQ. they were the games that really held my attention for a long long time. i absolutly love grouping alot, having a great verity in classes, lots of stuff to do once you cap, and actually being part of a fairly large community.

i loved group heavy games because they felt so much more like there was an actual community and not just a single player game with a chat box. Even just grinding as a group was more fun (most of the time) because you were also keeping amused by chatting it up about w/e was on your mind.

i guess i should list the games ive played: FFXI(over 2 years) EQOA(about 6+ months) EQ(4 months) LOTRO(1 month, was too solo-ish and lack of endgame/grouping/classes) WoW (2 weeks...dont get me started as to why i cant stand this game) Vanguard(2 months, it was fun but you need quite a great machine to run it and it felt empty becuase of the mass world and tiny pop) EQ2(3 months, felt like it was a button masher and too much solo) L2(just the trial...and it was a bad experince for me) DDO(amusing for a bit but got boring) TONS of F2p games wich usualy never come close to what iw ant because they are F2P.

im mainly looking for a game thats still more recent, still a decent community, and the obvious things above.

honestly until somthing like WAR or (wich may be a LONG TIME) the new upcomming Square Enix  MMO. i would prefer a F2P just to kill time, but P2P is ok as long as i can try it out somehow to get a good idea of what its like b4 i toss away money.

any help?

WHO [ Warhammer Online] is not the same as WAR [ Warhammer Age of Reckoning]....they were two completely separate things....

L2 like i said in my thing i had a horrible start to and it drove me away, especially how the controls worked...that was a mess for me.

also i would prefer a real MMO, though guild wars might be great, it seems like an action PvP game, that only has what i heard 20 lvls? im guessing its like DDO wich was fun for a bit but quickly wore on me. guess there really is no other FFXI/EQOA/old EQ game left out there...bah il just hafta keep on waiting.

    zanfire,

Dark Age of Camelot is a fun game, I recently returned to it and decided to give the Gaheris server a try which is a pve only server.  The community there is very friendly and helpful.  If you are new to Daoc and pvp is not a must have, I would recommend starting a character on the Gaheris server.  It has a great community and Ive found community is probably the most important attribute of an online game.

There is a free 2 week trial if you want to test it out.
