I would like to ask if there are soulbound items in this game. I hope the answer does not break the NDA (a simple yes or no is enough).
My concern is the economy. From what i saw games with soulbound items has no economy or a very poor one. I personally enjoy games with player made items. That makes a great economy and force the game to be focused in other things than just gear.
So if someone could tell me about soulbound or player made items i would really appreciate.

There is no weapon/armour crafting in the game, and i'm fairly sure most things will become soulbound (though i'm not in the beta so can't confirm this).
there has to be soulbound items because each race has their own unique weapons and armor for their unique classes.
You wont like this game its PvP oriented. Crafting will start off small at launch, might grow in future who knows.
The Economie is not a big importence to the devlopers.

I love pvp games. I play EVE right now. What does that have to do with economie?
Yes. There are BoE items. Not sure if everything is, or important items. Since, they seems to be copying a lot from WoW I would say everything is BoE.

I am not very interested in this game, mostly becouse there is no death penalty, but since my firends are gonna be playing this i thought i could ask here, since i know this site, hoping for someone to say yes or no (not that hard), instead of research for a game i am not really interested in. Plus, someone may have wondered the same.
EVE is about 1 million time more Economic oriented then WAR will be.
Crafting will be about Potion making and Nick nacks to help make your charackter visualy diffrent.
It will have no real big impact on the game.
They are balencing it to help slightly.
Dont bother it will be a wast of your time and money.
On the other hand if you like massive Battlfeilds of players then you have hit the jackpot.
I am coming to the same conclusion. It is not the game for me.
I like those massive battlefields but if there is no death penalty i only enjoy them for a short while. I just dont fear anything, jus rez and back to fight. I need to feel some risk. And if there is no crafting i end up fighting to win points to get gear without worring much about death.
Besides, from what i heard i may gain points (honour or whatever) without doing much, if my faction wins i get rewards, even i suck hard. As i said i will have to wait for a more risky player driven game.

Agreed...
I think at least one of the two new SCI FI MMOS are gonna be sandboxed with death penalties (Fallen Earth and Earth Rise)... Seems most of the Fantasy games are going for either PvE or PvP fun with little to no death penalty.
