Arrrrrggggghhhhhh !!!!

I get to work this morning and check my email and LO AND BEHOLD there is a beta invite in it......

So here I am looking at 9+ hours before I can go home and start the torrent to download the client....

O cruel fate....thou art a b****.

Well, don't worry, atleast the Open beta starts soon. ( you will be able to download the client tomorrow on friday Aug 15)

Hey like yall I was checking my email and that cursed beta center like 20 times a day hoping for an invite. When it finally came I screeched like a lil girl and went gay for 5 seconds.

Good times.

Thankfully I have a 20/2 FIOS connection so I expect my fiber optics to destroy this torrent.

are people still getting invites to the CB from the beta registration or are these just CE preorders getting them now?

and a side note, i hate going to guild sites and game forums and seeing someone write "yeah, i got in the beta and played it for 5 min and then uninstalled it." complete waste and im sure many others, myself included, would have put that invite to much better use.

I am not sure what it's going off of. I have CE codes tied to my account but I certainly wasn't in the first wave of invites.

From what I have read the things that affect your chances are...

CE codes, a high end comp, and BJs for the developers.

Other than that I don't think it matters how long you have been signed up.

CE pre-order and recommended specs computer are what it takes to get the CB invite now. They are bringing people on in waves though, so don't be surprised to get an invite sometime soon if you meet those criteria. If you just have the SE pre-order, or low system specs, then you will have to wait for the open beta. Understand that Open Beta = stress test and the game perfomance witnessed there may not be indicative of the final product release since they will be tweaking network and server performance to get game performance as smooth and stable as possible.
