Vanguard, AoC, we post because were tired of being misled and turned into cash patsies for companies that dont give a rats ass about what the gaming community wants or expects. They feed us unfinished products and we buy them, hence were saying "Its okay, screw us some more, we'll still buy your products".
Frankly I'm *GLAD* that Claus & co have the balls to try a whole new approach to making a MMO, because the games that have been released in the last hew years have been unoriginal, derivative crap.
I thoroughly applaud the concept of focusing all resources into making a great game at the expense of spending development money on marketing executives whose job it is to hype and lie to gamers about the quality & originality of their crap, derivative game. AoC is a *prime* example of this.
If Claus & co succeed in making a great game with Darkfall then they will have a significant impact on how other MMOs are made in the future, even moreso should DF prove to be able to attract and retain PVEers as well as the PVP crowd the same way EVE has. Just the fact that DF is even trying to break the WOW MMO mould has made an impact already.
The only question that matters right now is: how good will Darkfall be? Because it's for sure that Darkfall is coming baby. In fact I bet they announce beta shortly after their August holidays are over.

Reading comprehension indeed. Find me a LINK (like i asked...) where they announce an OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE. You cant' because there is none. There's never been an official release date. The closest thing to it is this:
