I'm wondering since people should be able to sign up and download the open beta client tomorrow, if I should stop downloading this closed beta client. Everyone knows the speed on this torrent is pretty slow. So i'm wondering if I should keep downloading with hopes that the closed beta client will be patchable to work with open beta, or just wait until the open beta client is released.

And i'm wondering did they ever say they will let people into the beta or even download anything tomorrow? since all i read is that tomorrow you can enter your CE codes into the accounts page... i never see anyone saying "tomorrow you can enter your CE codes and once you do you'll get into beta right away"... but i might be misreading it )
To register for Open Beta:
Your Open Beta code can be found on the card in your pre-order box or in your pre-order confirmation email. Open Beta files will be available for download on August 15th. PLEASE NOTE: The start date for Open Beta is still to be determined. Check back here for updates!
* If you have previously entered your Open Beta code in the Beta Center, you will need to enter it again when you create your WAR game account at the new account management site.
Taken directly from www.warhammeronline.com/preorder so, yes, we will be able to download the OB files on tommarow, according to what they've printed on their website.
ah, I remember reading somewhere that the download will follow shortly, after we are able to register our keys. I didn't mean right away. It's just this download for the closed beta is taking so long. I'd hate to get it with only a day left t play then I have to download the entire open beta client.
I just hope I can patch this one up.
They just might link you to the torrent file everyone else uses and talks about and then you have to patch again...
but considered how many complain about that... might not be a smart move from the marketing division...
conspiracy theory incomming: they will prolly use fileplanet to host the files and add an option for fileplanet open beta...
well there will be a lot of people in open beta the more people downloading the faster it goes for everyone, so it might work out if they just use the same client now and it gets patched.
