EU and US can play together?

Like the title say, will us and eu be able to join the same servers like i SWG and vanguard? I sure hope so!

No apparently, EU copies will allow you to play on EU servers, US copies on US servers.

It's because GOA (Sigh) is doing the EU part

A little, yes. I'm going to get the US version imported ended up doing it with DAoC as well. They should put the game online for download and you can buy CD keys.

They need to stop splitting the world up in MMOs!  Or at least the english speaking parts of the world need to be able to play together!  There are so many EU and Aussies I know that import the US ver to play with us since there are always so many more of us than on their servers!

Its more to do with lag, ask any Aussie that plays on an EU MMO server what the lag is like

It would be worse if we all did, but like in Guild Wars, having the choice and ability to jump servers would be great

id still like a choice like in EQ2. u can chose to join any server in the world

US copies end up on US servers, while EU copies end up on EU servers.

Although, if you want to play on a US server that bad you can order a US copy and do so.

    STOP WHINING!

yeah its mainly lag issues, i would prefer to play on a US server so my lag doesnt spike up, in a MMO you dont want lag, not like a webpage you can wait, no you got to kill the douche with the flag.

Now i wouldnt mind if they can find a way to make it if people farther away have to take less jumps t othe server and ect, but until then, no

I would rather play with my own countrymen or fellow Europeans then Americans, sorry just my personal preference.

i find it bad, cous... i have a friend all over the world, and we wanna play this game... but we cant play it together, due to the split-up, so everyone have to buy US or the EU copy......

  • I dislike GOA. Its like having Microsoft designing an iPod ... it gets ugly.

well the Australians have it better than the Europeans they can play on their region servers or the US region servers since they'll all be run by EA......its unfortante but EA wasn't in the picture yet when they made the deal with GOA so......and since European law states that you have to run servers in Europe for Europeans Mythic went to GOA again (because they dont have offices in Europe...but EA does and well they weren't in the picture yet).  Depending on the length of the contract I wouldn't put it past them to not resign with GOA when it its up.

I think in the future servers and computer will be so fast we all can play together without lag hopefully. But as computers get better so will the games, so we might not see it for a very long time without it being a problem.

i live in the uk and dont lag at all in the us servers :( even when i had a crappy computer

actually us Aussies get the US versions...

luckily though we are in that exempt zone when it comes to game so we can get them from anywhere and they work on our machines so its up to the player to decide

(no offence intended but) its usually a decision between a decent community (EU) or a populated server (US)

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

Well that is certainly your choice. The most fun I had playing Anarchy Online was meeting and hanging out with people from all over the world. Then I played WoW where the US and EU,and Aussie players  are split up and it just wasn't as fun IMO.I'd still like for people to be given a choice.

ok so i'm in england and i play CoX and WoW on the US servers, no lag issues so i have my pre-order with D2D so no shipment charges, just a download nice and easy my advice would be to do this if u wanna play across the pond

I simply HAVE to know where on earth you got that from? not only considering that this would require about 20 different countries to agree and implement such a low, there is not 1 european body but i can garantee you that atleast 2 nations does not have this law, one would be Denmark the other United Kingdom

so how you got that idea i would very much like to know.

It is besides the point tho i wanted to reply to the guy asking if GOA was a bad thing, yes it is very very bad thing see this thread
