So will TR require game insurance?

Heh, I wish there was MMO insurance.

Anyway, i'm DLing the trial right now (46% woo!) and have been thinking of coming back. My query is not about if the game is good or bad, blah blah.

I want to know there is a future for the game. Is there any danger of TR closing down? I've been away a long time lost all contact with the game, but has there been any confirmation it won't be another AA? Before I buy that CE?

i just played TR last month and it doesnt seem in danger of closing any time soon. Its not the most populated game, but it has enough to keep it going. usually every night atleast two servers were at medium load and on weekends aswell. It wasnt hard to find groups or others for defending bases. Tho this game still is very casual and PvP is still.... meh. tho they are working on it apparently.

Protip: If someone does NOT list at least one positive and one negative about the game they are critiquing, its best to ignore the post.

What should I do first as a new n00b?

    EDIT: At 94% woo!

probably get a feel for the style of the game first off. you start as a recruit so u dont have to make a decision till lvl 5. So do the tutorial and quest after that in the wilderness. around 8-10 find a person or 2 and you can do the instance dungeons in wilderness (there are a few quests for each of them so make sure you get them first.) as far as what class you should be, really depends how you wanna play. Soldier line seems to be the favorite. I played a Grenader to 48 and it was alot of fun in CP defence. A friend of mine played Spy and ill tell ya, if you wanna do crazy 1 on 1 dmg there is nothing better. Guardians are a bit more of a chalange, but if u learn how to work them they are crazy good. dont really know much about the sniper.

However i think the specialist line is better tbo. Injection guns penetrate armor so u tend to kill faster. and Engineers are top notch for defending.Just remember each wep does different types of dmg and you wanna have atleast 3 different dmg types on your bar to switch between. (i dont remember what is weak to what, there were some sites out there tho, but just remember some mobs will be very weak to one type of dmg, while others are immune.)

Actually, NCSoft's Q2 results just came out and specified the quarterly sales for TR which also showed an improvement over the previous quarter.

Also, NCSoft just had some big layoffs, but those layoffs did not touch the TR team, so that is another good sign.

So TR is healthy and growing, which is usually a good indication that it is not going anywhere.
