Worldwide Open Beta Mmorpgs

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted here.  I'd like to revisit this topic.  If anyone knows of any overseas mmorpgs in open beta, please post links to them here and I'll add them to my list... along with one of my crappy reviews hehe. =P

I have a couple to start off the list:

1.) Carpe Diem --  http://www.caem.co.kr/

Carpe Diem - I posted about this one here almost a year ago on these boards.  I signed up for an account back then and it's finally reached open beta stage!  A cell shaded Korean mmorpg.  You can ride horses, play as a fairy, and lots of other things that I have yet to figure out.  I love the fact that it's cell shaded!!!

To Register: click the paper icon just underneath the ID/PW login section.

Client Download: click the orange arrow >> above the purple arrow >> on the left side.  There is also a patch you will need to download.

2.)  RFOnline -- http://rfonline.x2game.com/

RFOnline - Yet another Korean mmorpg in open beta.  You can choose from elf, human, or mech classes.  If you decide to go elf, you might notice some...slight (sarcasm) similarities to another, more popular korean mmorpg.

3.) RYL "Risk Your Life" -- http://www.planetwidegames.com/

RYL "Risk Your Life" - Originally out of Taiwan I believe.  I played the Mandarin version.  This version is in English!!  It's a hack/slash game with moderate graphics and a unique sort of free movement (dodging, jumping) similar to FPS games.  Also has some pvp elements.  I didn't play it enough to give the full skinny on this one, but it could be fun!

    Well there is one I know of ATM that is a Asian MMORPG. Which they not only have a Open Beta, but a new open beta that just started here in the US. Called RYL = Risk Your Life.

    All you have to do is go there and sign in with a new acct and then download it and play.

    In Carpe Diem I am lost as to how to register for that site. I clicked the paper icon like you said but then I have no idea what to do from there. Any help would be appreciated.

    But what I want to know is --> On the member signup to join they ask for name and resident number. What do they mean by resident number? Any ideas?

    They want a Korean Social Security #.

    You'll have to figure that one out yerself. =P

    i can tell you guys certainly, RFonline is another "Leveling-very-hard-and-no-fun-at-all" game, and R.Y.L is another "A-side-VS-B-side-and-hard-leveling-no-fun-at-all-either" game    : P

    I agree with ya man, but it's something to do when you get bored. ^^  If you know of any better games, please post them here and I'll do my best to add them to my list.  Hopefully we can get some other exotic mmorpg's that don't require korean IDs or translation tools. =)

    I am sorry that I may hurt ppl's feelings, but I know some ppl are playing this kind of MMO 247, so it's better to hurt their feelings b4 they hurt themselves >.<

    Anyway, for mature ppl, to playing hard leveling MMOs won't be hurt, so i would say that "for MMO games, players are more important than games....if players are fun, then the game cant be boring"(forgot where i heard of it)

    Windtalkers are my guild's name, of which form in a really good game "shadowbane".

    for now, if any people are looking for a game, I recommand:

    for Fans-level players, try "shadowbane", "planetside", some single player games like Sims2 etc.

    for those who first time to try MMO, try  diablo2, so you wont spent too much money and time at leveling crap(it's just pure wasting of time and money)

    And  for sure, if World of warcraft, Guild war, everquest2 comes out, everybody just forget the others and go for them  :P
