wow lol, did you even read what I posted? I said I know about this website but its beying shipped so I cant use it yet. Some people just hit the reply button without even reading the thread itself...heh

The real problem is the power supply and people aren't reading the responses so they don't know what they're talking about but post ignorant comments anyway. There's nothing we can really tell you until you get a video card and try it with the power supply. I'd be surprised if 350W is enough for any current graphics card with decent specs. You'll likely have to get at a 500W.

Just curious on your opinion on a 3.8Ghz Celeron...

Should I replace it? What do the wise ones on this forum say?

Btw I also have 2gigs RAM and 8600GT.

Ah sorry, your right I didn't read your post completely. I just seen the thread title and specs you posted and thought you just needed to be pointed in the direction of a system spec checker, my bad.

Hmm, yeah Dell.. don't go with them anymore.. build your own its the way to go and is customizable. That's how Dell makes their money, they're not near as customizable. Hmm, wonder if you could buy a pretty cheap CPU case and PSU? Probably for about 125-150? Would be kind of a hassle though.

So they can brag about their new box under the pretense of asking a question.

But I have an 8600GT with a custom zalman cooling fan so its overclocked pretty hardcore.. was able to run AoC on fairly high settings with 40-50fps and LOTRO on max with 50-60fps.. not great but runs any game decently.. probably the only thing holding my cpu back a bit....  you can get one on tigerdirect for about $60 bucks if they still offer the rebate.. not sure if it would be a bit less hard on your PSU unlike the 8800.

I wonder how many MILLIONS were lost by people that upgraded to see those beautiful graphics in Age of Conan.

I bought a new RAM module because I got mem check errors on my portable a few days after the official release of Conan.

Two guys with HUGE cases came in the shop, almost yelling they wanted dual video 9800 GT's and new power supplies installed to run the next MMORPG wonder.

    How about trying first.

I would say look at the specs of whatever vid card you want.  See what kind of power it takes.  I had a power supply that pushed 2 amps lower to the 12 volt rail than required by my card.  Wasnt really aware of it because it was a 450w ps and didnt think i'd have to much of a problem.  I became aware of it when my vid card croaked.  Replaced by manufacturer within 2 weeks.  Point is see what your card needs and what your PS pushes.  Im guessing you would need a ps that pushes about 26amps or so for the 8800gt.

You need an immediate PSU upgrade. 400W just aint gonna cut it with any decent graphics card you system will be incredibly unstable.

Personally I wouldn't go with quad core at the moment as there are still issues with some games (although I would of hoped that WAR will fully utilise the Quads)

In general you'll be fine but get a good graphics card and much better PSU in the 550+ range min.
