Couple of quick questions ...

based on some of the info im reading , this version of STO seems to be more like EnB than anything else i could compare it to. A few things added ( like getting out of your ship to do missions but you could do that in EnB to sort of , Fed-ex type only but it was there). SO is that a fair impression or have i missed the boat completely here?
And there will / wont be PVP with consequences? i'm thinking like the star fleet games where your faction could "own" a hex based on actions done in that hex sort of thing.
thats it , i know there isnt alot of info i could find but any impressions or even speculation would be apprieciated if there is no hard info at this time.

I take it English isn't your first language? No problem. I think I understood you just fine.
The game is going to be both ship and character based. You will be able to leave your ship to board other ships, visit alien worlds, etc. Missions (aka Quests) will be done on your ship, with your ship, on planets and inside starbases.
There will be PVP and there is consequences to it. But there is no heavy death penalty. The PVP will mostly be centered around the conflict of the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
sorry i wasnt clear , hahaha. I had to type in a hurry because the cafe i was sitting in was turning off the lights and closing and i was about to lose my internet connection.
Thanks for the info. No death penalty tho ... hmmm not sure i like that but I shall wait anmd see like everyone else.

Well death penalty hasn't been spoken about much, a small bit on it in the interview, but still a long way off any real changes or info
No no, no HEAVY death penalty is all they have said. That means, when you die, it won't be like, "You can't fight for the next 24 hours and you are delusional." Instead, you will be able to get right back into the game but you will probably need to get your ship repaired and assemble a new crew if yours has been killed.
Beyond the fact that they have said there won't be any heavy death penalties, everything else about death is conjecture.
