How I entered Open Beta to download

Completing all the steps was not easy, so I created this post.

First I had to create an account in Account Management, I guess the Beta center user login is to be outdated.

Next I entered the code under promotion code, and it accepted it.

Found that I got an e-mail stating that, I had created an account. nothing else was in the e-mail." I'm like what, where is the download info ?"

Then went to the main Warhammer site and clicked on the "Herald", then clicked on "Download War today" then clicked on "Fileplanet"

This took me to the fileplanet Warhammer download page, and asked me to type in my Open Beta key again.

Congratulations screen, here I was able to download the " download manager" ( about 10 sec. to do that.) On the same page was "preload now"

clicked on "preload now", after a few min. I got an error page,

UNSURE OF LOOSING MY SPOT AND KEY MY NOT WORK AGAIN, I REFRESHED THIS PAGE FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS, UNTIL I GOT IN !!  Hint: do something else like watch tv or eat something, cause it may take even longer. 

So I'm still downloading overnight, at 200kb. It would be done but my computer went into sleep mode.

So thats my story, hope it helps :)

    Any1 have any help with this?

    When I go to Herald and click the fileplanet link.  I get a completely black page with a white box in center of screen.  I assume that is where I should put my beta code so I do that.  But there is no "submit" button that is visible.  I found a support link that is visible at bottom of page but that simply takes me to FAQ page which seems to be mostly about the install after the download.  I tried just hitting enter but get nothing from that either.  I tried yesterday during peak download times and thought maybe this was just a heavy traffic problem but I tried at 6 am this morning and still got the same thing.  Any answers?

    There's still another 2 steps you'll have to go through...

    After the preload downloads, you'll have to then wait for a key to be unlocked for the download to complete. It took me about 15mins of refreshing until the key unlocked, then another 15 mins or so for the download to complete.

    After that is finished, click on the install icon in the folder and it'll install the game itself onto your computer at a location of your choosing. This process only took minutes. Then you're done.

    I never came across this screen. The only thing I suggest is to keep trying to get the fileplanet page to load correctly. It should be a page that tells you the steps you'll need to take to finish the download process.
