Just a little while longer (hours not days) on the NDA lift folks. As I've said elsewhere, we have a lot of moving parts and some of them required a little extra oiling this morning.
Honesty I dont see why Mystic hold NDA any longer, people break NDA everywhere and even Mark said it "might" be today. Even he said is not 100% today but I guess people will be pissed off if it is not today.
Devs need to go over the comments, feedbacks and bugs reports.
An NDA is there to keep things manageable other wise you'll run into rampant misinformation, so with an NDA you're left with putting out small fires and not forest fires.

Oh that's just dumb. What do they need to keep manageable? It's info about a game for christ's sake not national security.

Yes an NDA is needed to keep the game stable and the hype where it is needed. Could you imagine the doom and gloom statements that would be out and about from some guy making it into beta 1?

No I can't. I can't see where anything good benefits from suppressing information.

This is disapointing that they didn't get it out already, but I guess what the people at the top and what is going on below sometimes get a little mixed up.

Maybe having millions of dollars invested in the IP's development would change your mind.
Full disclosure isn't always the best route, because publicity can make or break a game. It's no different even for a very good game -- bad publicity could easily kill it.
Don't blame the developers, blame the public. If not for the gaming public's often uneducated, illogical and fickle buying and fandom habits, they wouldn't need to have nondisclosure.

Then I'd have to guess that you've never worked in development for anything. If anyone could post anything about the game at any time then they could blatantly try to make your product look bad, provide a false image of the game or otherwise damage your IP. (there are other reasons, not the least of which is helping keep competitor's knowledge of your product limited, but sticking in terms to the broadest use of a Beta NDA) I mean in Beta the product is constantly changing, nothing is set ... a poster could come out here screaming that class x is totally crap and the game sucks because of it, only to have a patch completely change everything .... but because that info has already got out there that impression is going to stick.
Releaseing an NDA is their way of saying 'okay, there are no more major changes to be made before launch.'

Mark confirms the NDA is dropping today.
any source to confirm ?
any source to confirm ?
Yah, I'm seeing nothing on any sites about the NDA being lifted, or even confirmed for today.
I can't wait, although I will only write a word of 6 letters to describe this game, it starts with B and ends up with G

B o r i n G? I'm guessing that's your word? Hopefully it's more informative than that.

Funny thing is, part of me wants to know why they waited to long to life NDA more than actually seeing the state of the game.
