Dose anyone know if this Dark Tank will have any self heals, or what about nukes ?
And what about the Chosen as Shield/W will this be a nurf, in both dps, and only a mine bust in defence as allways whit shield tanks. ?

Did you play any other tank besides Chosen? I'm playing a SM right now and they are really fun, but... I never liked playing elves!
I think I might roll a Chosen now and see how he is.
No nukes, no heals, this isn't a paladin.

That quest is too epic for most of this community. Everyone would benefit from firefox or any other browser that is better than IE 6, gee a built in speel chekr. Weel taht wuold be graet!

Chosens who choose to go sword/shield will do less damage than those who go with 2handed weapons due to the simple question of "Who would use a 2h if s/s did the same damage?" It's not wow's ms warrior vs defensive spec difference, but it''s less. defense boost is fairly good though from equiping shield.

Yeah, you use a 1 hander and a shield. That's sort of the point. You absorb damage at the expense of it's output.
Play a witch elf or Marauder if you want to melee DPS.

They have a group heal aura which gets triggers when someone in your party in range blocks or parries. Its not that much though, at the moment.
Yes they have a nuke, Its a late game mastery if you want to take it.
As far as shield goes, if you are damage spec'd you won't be using one. You have skills you will need a two hander to use. You still have good defense.
I played chosen and black orc in tier 4, both damage spec'd both kicked major ass in rvr.
When you are rushing about 20 bright wizards you are going to take some damage. Melee dps goes down very fast.

I'm currently leveling a chosen and was planning on going the corruption rout (shield). Was wondering how that pans out in RvR later on.

Surviving is a huge factor, there are classes for dps; if you want to be a tank I would contend that your purpose it to keep people off less armored classes. Even with a shield, you do enough damage to keep from being ignored. Although I'm sure someone will try to argue that you should go balls to the wall dps, die fast and then leave your party without an armored blocker...those people are usually in the groups that die a lot.
