Broke both of my ankles this week (well one of them four weeks ago)

So...I broke my ankle at work around four weeks ago. I don't want to go into the specifics because I think it may turn into a lawsuit, but the crappy thing is I broke my other friggin ankle this weekend.

I had just gotten done with 9 Physical therapy sessions on my right ankle and had just gotten off of the crutches when lo and behold my car dies and, ironically enough, I did not have my brace nor my crutches in the car.

To make a long story short I snapped my other ankle while walking home (had to make a 5 mile journey and I was hobbling on one leg pretty much).  Had to spend a couple nights in the hospital and I am currently on Morphine and Vicaden and now Im in a friggin wheel chair.

To make the story even sour, my supervisor called my wife up today (Im kinda high so Im not in the condition to be talking to anyone) and while he felt bad for me, "HR" wanted to see me before I clocked in tomorrow lol. So you all pretty much know what that means. This is why I cannot disclose the company because Im getting a lawyer involved.

So moral of the story. If you break your right ankle, try to refrain from breaking your left one too!

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear that. But how did your other ankle break so easy from walking? Was it the pressure or did you fall or accident on the way your reluctant to say?

Anyway here in Florida if you get injured or can't work your safe under the law here from losing your job for at least 3 months I think it is. Maybe its more, don't remember. Do you have this in your state?

Who let you in the VIP section?

Sorry, En1gma is too much of a man for me. I prefer more feminine types, like the ones born WOMEN.

My other ankle broke because I was hopping on the left leg and well.....doing that for 5 miles and tripping on the sidewalk pretty much snapped it.  Hasnt been a good month for me.

Yeah, about the injuries on the job..its for my state too.  I can even report them to OSHA because they havent fixed the area where I broke my ankle in the first place.

Well hopefully no bad news and your HR just needed you to fill out the WC forms.

Yeah they wouldn't want to clock if you are being covered.

Hope that it all works out for the best.

They wouldn't terminate you over an injury unless they are completely insane as they know there will be a law suit that you would probably win with very little effort.

Geez, that sucks. If its the same place you worked before I think I might start boycotting that place. They were pissing me off anyways - not taking merchandise back and failing on rebates (about $300 worth).

Hope the ankles get better. And remember - don't piss off your wife. Remember the movie Misery. Sledgehammer!
