i got a few questiongs about Renow:
1: How does my renown rank work?
2: How do renown points work?
3: Can i purchase gear with renown (like honor)?
4: Do i also get XP when in PvP along with renown?
This one is not about renown....but what is preview weekend?

1. I'm not sure about the math, but its kinda works like honor. You get pts for damage/healing per person that dies. You can also get a few points just for being around someone thats killed. Renown, at least in the early stages is easy to get if your RvRing. Both open world and Scenarios. Once you get enough points you gain a rank. The higher the rank the diffrent pvp rewards ect.

3. Yes you can. There is a r2 (character level 2) rr2 (renown rank2) set and it goes up from there.
4. Sure do. Money is an issue for skills/armor if you plan on doing nothing but RvR though.
Preview weekend is basicly a weekend where you will get ot see the OB client and get a head start on everyone else getting invited to OB. Think of it as an OB head start.
Also with your renown ranks. In each warcamp there is a renown trainer. These let you spend your renown rank points (1 per rank of renown for as far as I got) to increase your stats such as INT,STR ect. There are some other things you can increase but they dont seem to be to important from what I played.
1. As you pvp/rvr you get renown for helping (killing, healing, etc.). This renouwn is just like experience points you earn in pve. As you get the renown points, you level up (or ranking up in WAR terms).
2. As you level up in RR (renown ranks), you'll gain access to purchasing the renown gear being sold by the renown vendors. This is VERY nice gear, and in some cases can make you overpowered for a little while (until you outlevel your bracket).

4. Yes. You also get regular experience as well. So basically when you're doing a scenerio or rvr, you'll be working both your meters.
You even get money drops and rarely item drops! Although so far, you can't survive alone finacially just doing pvp.
You can't outlevel your Career Rank (normal exp) with your Renown Rank (pvp exp).
Can't answer the preview weekend question though.
