I don't know about you, but I've had my share of drama in some of the other MMO's. It really shouldn't be a death sentence to ask a question, or look for advice. Yes, I used the search function! However, for a long time I've been watching the progress of Star Gate Worlds by the good folks over at CME and frankly I've been impressed.
Ever wonder what it would be like to be part of a community where people actually helped answer questions? Where developers and community representatives are constantly responding to threads (even the silly ones, hehe)? Take some some time to lurk over at forums.stargateworlds.com and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. But don't lurk too long, jump in and let your voice be heard 
Yes, once this releases and gets as popular as I think it will be, it will draw some of the types of people I'm complaining about. But, call me an optimist if you will, I think this one will actually turn out to be a great success.

I am flipping a coin on this one. Not really enough solid info out there to make a real call yet in my opinion. All MMORPG's look good on paper but what is released is what counts. Still I am keeping a close eye on this one though and rattling trees to see what falls out rumor wise. I know a lot of people who are will be submitting beta aps so odds are a least one of them will get into closed. Quite frankly I am leaning toward this game as my next MMORPG over WAR and AoC as things stand right now but that is fluid and subject to change.
I miss DAoC
I think CME has done a great job so far and Stargate Worlds looks really good.
We'll see what happens at release.
I have read through the stargate worlds wiki and I am hopeful. Obviously everything still needs to be implemented well and we won't know until it is released.
However, I like their focus on quests. I like the archtypes. i like the focus on range combat (potential different combat mechanics than WOW and other fantasy games). It also sounds like they will have a larger variety of environment than most MMO.
I really like the thought of ranged combat after swinging a sword for so long, and the AI seems like it's going to be outstanding.
Looks like there will be a lot of content and what an advantage to be able to get right into the actions each time without having to travel, etc.
This game has so much going for it, with tons of content, a great storyline (so we are told), unique (and long needed) combat system, great AI, lots of puzzles and/or combat (depending on what you are into), etc. I cannot wait for this one!!!
I still haven't subscribed to the forums at Stargateworlds.com but probably should as I will definitely buy this game when it comes out.
I was actually considering making a post like this when I found this one. The community is indeed wonderful and helpful. I don't really like a good number of other MMO forums where people get bullied and flamed for asking simple questions. These people are helpful open and eager to have you join their commands or just share excitement and thoughts on the game!
Also, the wiki paints a great picture of the game that makes the few videos I've seem misleading, as they're combat only and thats all we see in those short segments, which isn't all there is to the game - thank god.
I'm excited about this one and definitely recommend people check out the community over there.
