Who Wants EQ 2 November 15th

Enigma225Enigma225 Member Posts: 30

Ok. If the game has these factors on November 15th will you take it. Decent to no lag , economy that works, combat system works fine, decent amount of content for the time being , enough for them to keep adding before we get to far in. I think they need to release it before WoW because they will probably get a much higher revenue of account sign ups and if they can put out at least a decent starting game they will own WoW in the long run. If you want the game out on the 15th say so.

Sorry though people have to much time on there hands right now if they dont want it Nov 15th. THERE ARE NO! GOOD MMORPGS out right now sorry. I think EVE blows L2 blows. COH gets boring fast even at high lvls . EQ is boring now because of to many expansions. AC and AC 2 wont even bother with it. DAOC just boring and was never interesting. Sorry I dont want to wait another 4 to 5 months for EQ 2 . I want it as soon as I can so I can start lvling regarldess of it being finished or not. I dont know why you wana wait an extra 3 months when you could allready be lvl 30 and the game would probably be fixed to almost perfect by then+ you would have an extra 3 months and you could allready be 40+ by then and it would be well worth it.

With all theese factors in the game with content beeing added faster and with less bugs than

in EQlive and SWG ..What the heck ..id take a release of it tomorrow.

But personally i think EQ2 is far from that point at the moment anyway.

It ain't ready. And I don't see it coming out this year, if they are smart. If they are smart, they'll give up on trying to match WoW's release, and make sure everything is stable and release in Jan/Feb of '05. They will make way more money that way, than they will buy pulling another SWG, and rushing a buggy, unstable game out the door to meet some arbitrary deadline.

I suggest seeing a doctor about that ADHD in the meantime.

I would love for it to be released Nov. 15th, but I'd rather see a more finished product.  I would hate to see an SWG-like release or worse yet an Anarchy Online-like release.  If the game comes out in December or early January highly polished and silky smooth it will be worth the wait IMO.

Love to see it released by then. Have even read Beta journal posts that say it's pretty much done, just needs a few touches finished and optimization. If it is great, if not... oh well.

I dont want it if its not ready.

I wouldnt care if they took another 6 months to release if it meant getting a finished game.

Are peoples lives so empty that all they have left is sitting at their computer, wailing about how they will just die if some video game doesn't make some arbitrary ship date?

I've never understood this phenomenon. It exists only in the gaming community. This feeling that it's ok if the game is a complete pile, it can be fixed later. If you bought a book, and it was missing the last 50 pages, you'd be taking it back, demanding a refund. Or any other product that was of shoddy production, or incomplete. But video games continuosly release in an uncomplete, and bug riddled state.

I know nothing is entirely bug free, but there doesn't even seem to be an acceptable minimum. Just enough QA to get the game semifuntional, and then release. With some games, like Shadowbane, they might as well have put a blank disc in the box with an IOU that the game will be patched in later.

And the gamers are just as much to blame for this, as they're the ones continuing to buy these broke ass games with a big sloppy grin on their face. If you absolutely must take it in the tailpipe, at the very least make sure you are getting paid, not the one doing the paying.

Maybe if people stopped settling for shit in a box, we'd have a better selection of quality titles out there, instead of one or two decent games a year, and a avalanche of crap the rest of the time.

Sorry but im turning 17 very soon and I really am not planning to be playing mmorpgs my whole life. I want EQ 2 as soon as I can have it because I know once I graduate high school I will most likely be focusing on my job for awile at least a couple years then maybe I will come back and play. Really though there is no mmorpg out there right now that intrests me. EQ was the only one I stayed with but now the interace and graphics blow and game is boring anyways so I tried to start playing the new mmorpgs like COH SWG etc but the main thing that I hated about those were that they either had very small content that was unique or you had to repair armor constantly? I hate it when games are like that , EQ had huge amounts of content which kept the econmy flourishing for a long time until the bazaar came in but It still had a very large and strong economy. EQ seemed to be the only solid game that I really ever played. MY point is though that im not some jurk that plays a game and goes OMG! that mob is bugged look his name is missing OMG this game sucks It's not finished I hate SOE! Erm actually I can deal with just about anything and I will still love the game as long as everything basically works to the point where you can fight and have a good economy going. I see no reason In them either not starting an open beta late october early November and releasing the game late Novemeber. People think they will make more money if they wait HAHAH! If there game come s out before WoW does they are gona bring in probably double what they will make if they come out after. I gaurentee you that they will keep everyone happy because the game allready from things I have heard pretty close to being done except for some bugs with quests and a coupld other things but I can deal and I know that 99 % of everyone else can to . Sorry I dont wana sit around my whole life waiting for the perfect game to come out. The game industry is never going to be like that where they keep a game a year over due just to make it perfect they want money and they know if the game is semi perfect everyone will still buy it. I really dont care if thats dirty ways of them to market but hell WoW Open beta was great and IT was finished and I would have bet everyone in that beta would have started paying monthly just to stay in the beta and not even keep there characters. Hmm maybe its that were just shallow or we dont like waiting 6 months extra but I think I know what most people will lean towards.

How about they release the game when it's ready so it's not SWG 2.  Nov. 15th 2005, is probably a better release date.  Better that they hold on till the game is completely done, rather than release a half assed product.
