So im afread that my faers was right.
- Myhic has done it again to the one and only shield/defence class - gimpd it. So now all the boards one again will be fulld whit post wining and ..xxxx.
- DAOC Paladins post all over again. Shame on you guys.

The OP must have no experience with the beta at all because the tank classes in this game are some of the most fun and by far the best pvp tanks in any mmo I have played.

Well I don't know because the OP's sig says they play a paladin on the classic cluster.
If you currently play DAoC then you'd know that shield is one of the most stupidly OP'd abilities in the current game.
So you'd have to say "mythic has done it again and gimped something to the 2006 standard" or something similar to that.
i cant make head or tails of this post but i did not play WAR today (besides for 30 mins just now to do a scenario and a PQ).

Shields in DAoC have always been a bit overpowered, especially when it came to Hibernian Heroes that could spec fully down the Celtic Spear Line as well as get Shields to 42 and get Slam. They would pop Slam on you for the 9 second stun and then switch to the Spear, move behind or beside you and just open a can of whoop ass on you.
A number of Scouts actually got to the point where they were almost unbeatable 1 on 1 due to Slam. Shields were never weak in DAoC. Now if the OP had compained about Paladin DPS, there might be a bit more ground for a complaint, yet at the same time DAoC was never meant to be a soloist game except for the various Assassin and Archer classes. I played a Paladin and played against Paladins. They were not a weak class, but people that played them wanted them to be Heroes. If you wanted to play a damage class, then you should have made an Armsman if you wanted to play in Albion. I knew Paladins that soloed mobs in numerous areas that took other classes full groups to kill. Twisting Chants was almost overpowering in itself.
I'm interested in seeing how tanks in WAR play out, mostly because I've wanted to play a Swordmaster since High Elves were an announced race.
