I will admit Order ALWAYS seem to have a lower population BUT destruction cann never fully take control or all 3 tiers, BECAUSE it will take something like 2x more than what the other side pop. is even though there is no pop balance in yet (besides from my server Bark Var, which they started now) things always seem to balance out a little bit and i beleive with the pop balance in it will.
sidenote: a server can hold at least 2000 and still be lag free (unless there is a a large 100+vs100+ rvr fight and your playing with full effects on) depending on your system, on my laptop which does not meet min reqs. i can play in a RvR open world battle with full effects up to about 30 people when server is at around 1500, scenarios depends on how much spells are going off but for the most part with effects off i do not lag.

order IS always under populated....i feel coming launch time order will still be at the short end of the stick...but things will work out and hey..being the underdog it alright with me
I'm very interested in seeing how this will work out in the long term and what solutions they supposedly have
so far on bark var the balancing is working but they just need to finalize the numbers on how much can one side have more than the other.
yes order is the underdog but it is a back and forth thing as in who is winning, for one side to get the capital taken IT WILL TAKE A VERY MAJOR MAJOR PUSH BY ALL MAJOR GUILDS (only saying major guilds because they will have a large number of people in those guilds) and some type of organazation, guesssing that is what the guild hall will be for.
edit: they will offer exp and gold bonuses to the underdog not an op bonus but a push and the buff when you log in will only last for a set time until they reset that buff.
Some say that the closed beta was skewed to Destruction (about 1.5:1, actually) because the testers tend to be more "hardcore," and believe it will even out on release day and all the "ooo pretty shiny" kiddies come in and roll Order.
It's a valid argument, but I don't think it's the case. Unlike WoW's Horde, who are more underdogs than evil, Destruction are pretty mean guys, and it shows in WAR's trailers and in game (for example, the Dark Elf starting area is desecrated High Elf territory, one quest in the Greenskin lands has you stuffing dwarves into barrels and kicking them off the top of a castle's wall, etc.) The kiddies just might find this more appealing than being pretty.
Order has slightly weaker class line-ups and there are more skilled guilds choosing to roll Destruction, it'll be hard but i enjoy playing the underdog.
on off peak times oh hell yes, at peak hours no, it is more like 55 D/45 O but still underdog, also during testing a few times Destruction had more OP classes but they fixed them reallllly nicly *when Sword master where over powered they where rolled out alot now they are fix it seems pretty normal*
i would say less cooler looking, besides from the wicth hunter, besudes rgar order classes all look pretty lame, and in warhammer lore alot of people do not like order because you can sya they are hypocrites to the 11th degree.
agree will most likely being joining the underdogs more fun more players to kill:)
Zelahe
On abnorash server destruction outnumber order pretty much 1.5:1 but to me it feel like pretty eeven so far . Tonight we had a full warband at 3 am and took 1 keep + 3 bo killing destruction on the way and they never tried to took anything back .
Think I will start with Order, I like the feeling of being the good guys swarmed by the evil masses and holding our ground
Yep hehe we held a keep in t2 for like 6 hours last weekend destruction just kept coming and coming lol . We killed masses of em with the boiling oil , good times

Dude, you're not supposed to mention the boiling oil. You just cost us all like three dozen WoWnoob kills!
I agree that Order has been in the Underdog position and usually it's by 1/3 to 1/2 that Destruction has over us (I play Order as I'm a fan of the good guy coming from behind idea.) One thng that will help is when more people start crossing the lines made up of the racial areas. More Elven archers in the dwarf/human lands. More bright wizards in the dwarf and elf lands, etc. Sure some folks do move around a bit but in general in the Scenarios (especially t1 and t2) I find that folks tend to expect thier local enemy. When an orc tank runs out and bashes at elves in an Elven Scenario some of the momentum gets lost.
Also, when folks start Guilding up and (hopefully) some tactically inclined individuals suggest orders to the process, more wins will be reaped (either side). It's just something for folks to get used to.
lol funny thing is that today i went to the human lands so i can do that scenario because i had tried out a mauderer for the chaos race
Population will become clearer when the release hits. Please, remember that numbers shown currently do not really mean that it is a balanced community of the whole world is going to mimic the same population.
