Q-How is character creation?

Some quick questions to all you lucky beta-warriors out there

1. Does every class (or race) have male/female choices? I suspect there are no genders when it comes to Orcs and Goblins, uncertain how they do the Chaos characters?

2. How much can you decide the appearance of a character from the start? Is it the usual face, hair, scar over nose or cheek? Or are there something that differs from the usual? Voice selection?

3. How soon can you start to get new pieces of clothes and armor? And are they the same for everyone of that race/class? say does all black orcs armor look the same at level 10 ?

Witch Elves, Marauders, Chosen and all of the Greenskin careers are gender restricted. Witch Elves are the only exclusively female career choice.

Currently, it's pretty much the usual. Different races have different options, DEs have some pretty sick tattoos, Orcs have tusks and metal caps for them, Gobbos have different ears, Dwarfs have a whole ton of beards, but there's definitely tons of room for improvement. Character creation increased tenfold between patches 3.2 and 3.3, and I'm pretty sure that it's been said several times on the beta forums that we still have yet to see all of the customization options.

You'll get new armor pretty soon, however, unless you're getting PQ loot or RvR gear, it looks pretty much the same. After T1 though, the variety increases a ton. I'm guessing that we're still seeing some placeholders though

    /fingers crossed

Some classes have only male/female options. As for Chaos, Chosen/Marauder can only be male. Zealot and Magus are available to both genders. Dwarf classes have both genders, as do human. Witch Elf is only female.

Normal options, with some 'flare' depending on race/gender. Skin tone, hair color/style, faces, and decals like scars, missing eyes are typical for all races and genders. Goblins have different ears to choose from. No voice selection.

Players tend to look fairly homogeneous at <10, but there is some variety amongst item drops.

This is what I have encountered in the CE beta that started last week.

Character creation is lacking in customability.  This is closed beta so not sure if they will have more options upon release.  If you know warcraft's customability, divide it by 10 and you have Warhammers.  I was pretty disappointed with the lack of options.  You can't change height and weight at all.  If you are used to City of Hereos/LoTRo/AoC you will be in for a rude awakening.  Even Warcraft will be adding more customization and was shocked to see so little with warhammer.

Well, to be fair. It's about on the level of WoW. You couldn't adjust height or build in that game either, so I don't know why you bagged WAR and praised WoW. Anyways, it's definitely no CoH/AoC. You can't morph your character's body or facial dimensions.
