I know that mythic said that they didnt want to focus of long effects CCs. My question is, which CC tech are available in this game and how do they work?
Also, I've seen in vids that you can knockdown or blow away enemy players, is that true?
thx

Yes, different classes have different methods. Some (Brightmage/Sorceress) have AoE damage effects, while others will have a AoE root (Shaman/Archmage), while still others will have a knockback effect (melee). The ranged types will have movement speed debuffs. The melees will have a movement speed debuff as well.
There are snares & slow downs but most of them wear off the moment you do damage to the person. There are no mezzes or CC's that take you completely out of combat they merely slow your movement.
Every Class gets a knock back effect at different stages. You can use it to your advantage alot since the WAR world is filled with cliffs, bridges etc that lead to death hehe. THere are even AOE knockbacks...talk about sending someone out to dessimate an entire group if they cross a bridge trying to reach that toon.
Wow thanks for quick replies
I've seen in one video greenskins vs dwarves a cc that would litterally blow away and enemy player a dozen feets away. Myth or reality?
All I know is that my monstrosity specced Marauder has a cone silence that with a certain tactic equipped that also disorients, and a cone knockdown, as well as a regular ability that can slow a single target. Those plus the melee ability of charge (a speed boost) and the ability to release yourself from any snaring effects (forget the name of the ability) means i can pretty much chase anyone down, killing them, well thats a whole different story.
It can knock guys quite a ways back, yeah. It's fun, using Dwarf engineer, but its a moral ability so you can just use it all the time it needs to build up.
