Ok everyone here is saying WAR is a good game, great game whatever.
Now lets see the real test,
Post how long you see yourself playing WAR.
For one I want to guage to see if people see themselves playing this game for "More than Three months" which I would consider it a Accomplishment of an MMO.
Im not going to do a poll because I want everyones names on their own posts, so we can come back later and see who actually stuck with the game and who didnt.
This is to see if WAR is indeed a good game and not just a fad because its the "Newest MMO out there".
Go ahead guys...if you Dare!

Ill play at least 3 months to see how everything goes. If it goes the good route ill keep going, if not its on to the next big MMO, whatever that may be.
Eagerly waiting for Warhammer Online.
Hates SOE, and Blizzard
Finally over the fact Blackguards were removed from WAR
If it is fun I will play until something better comes out.
If it is not fun, I will cancel my preorder.
If it is OK i might play for a few months to give it a shot.
oh, and we need a poll
EDIT: oops pushed enter too soon.
I suspect 1-3 months here, with lots of playing COD4 and some single player games in the same months.... I just can't see it lasting longer than that.
The REAL poll.
I wont be playing this one, after 4 cancelled mmos and a vapoerware by eagames , no thank you, I have not bought anything ea-games related since I was crapped on in earth and beyond.
playing eq2 and two worlds
at least 3 months and maybe more.
You missed the point!!
The point isnt to see who anymously says whatever, its to make people actually put their name onto what they are saying, so we have credability.

I have already been playing it for almost a year, I can easily see myself playing this fo the next 5+ years. But then again I am pretty loyal to one game at a time for the most part. 4 years of FFXI, three of WoW, 5 of DAoC.
Mark me down for 5-7.

WAR is "my" WoW combo breaker. I give it a couple years of my time, depends solely on what kind of content they add down the road and what direction they take the game. Games. They come, they go.

...I'm in your panties
ok
I will play until something else is out that is better.
Ha, wont we all, but who is to say something is better?
lol ME of course!
I will say the next sandbox that comes out will have me interested. I am sick of theme parks.
Ohhh no!
Jive trying to prove another game is bad, whatever next....I guess some people just want too keep clutching WoW to there chest and protect it.
Now you want names of people incase WAR crashes so you can chase them up?
Failed thread.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

I will play it for more than a few months, at the very least. Enough class options CURRENTLY available to play an alt or three up to top level. Mythic is known for expansions and adding classes. That, plus the other cities coming in will be "new" content to keep people enjoying the game. As the game sits the only people who really won't be happy are well, the people who don't like this style of game. Nothing wrong with that. And those who are never happy with anything, and I will be happy to see them leave anyway. For everyone else, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
Will play for at least the free month and see how it goes. Right now, in beta, I'm about 60-40 on renewing after the free month (60% not gonna renew). But I'll wait and see. If i'm still on the fence, I'll give it another month.

Bah! Sandbox MMOs.....just BAH! Try SWG if you want one so badly!
Bah humduck!
I'm gonna play WAR atleast until the Lich King expansion, then I will probably play both for a little while.
Who will win after that? Only time will tell.

If it's good probably for a long time.
I've been enjoying beta immensely, and I've only tried out 2 classes beyond level 10 thus far. Since I don't power-game anymore (thankfully the business I started is booming) it will take me a long time to reach the level cap in PvE and Renown (RvR). And since I'm the kind of gamer that wants to work through every racial pairing and tier structure with at least one class from each race, it'll take me a LONG time to do it all.
If they offered a lifetime subscription, I'd be all over it. I played WoW for 3 years, most of which I was bored out of my skull, but there was nothing better around. A lifetime sub would pay for itself if you're in the same boat as me (limited time, craving to see all the content from each race's viewpoint).

I plan on playing this game for at least a year. Im a huge Warhammer 40k fan (Emperors Children) and if that MMO is better or at least the same as WAR then I will convert to the 40k game. If 40k isnt as good as WAR, I can see sticking with WAR for the duration.
Small possibilities exist of defections to Champions Online/DCUO, but who knows if those games will be good? Too soon to tell, right?
I ain't buying anything with a EA stamp on it.

This is going to be the stock answer from most current wow players. Even the jaded ones like me.
However, from my own experience I was close to quitting wow after around 5 months. Unless you managed to get into a fairly solid raiding guild in the early days there was very little beyond stratholme, scholomance, ubrs and dire maul that was worth doing. What kept me in the game ultimately was finding a guild that did molten core/zg and the start of the honour system.
Now getting back to warhammer, from my experiences of the launch of wow I think I'm gonna be inclined to be as patient, I'll give it at least 4-5 months, the end game is the key to these games. If I'm still enjoying the game by the time wotlk arrives I may well stay with war. If not then it's what? november release for wotlk? So 2-3 months minimum.
For the foreseeable future. At least a year, probably more. My brother (who hasn't played) is so convinced by my rantings (positive all) that he has agreed to buy it as soon as it hits the shelves so we can gird up and wreak some havoc!
I will be playing for quite some time. I have been in beta and have been very impressed so far. I played WoW since release and I am totally bored with it.
The only other game that I have my eye on (MMO-wise) is the lego one
Empire, Dwarf, Elf
Judging from the beta... i'll be playing for a 6 months to a year at least. It depends on what content Mythic pushes out. Most people would probably get to about 40 ranks in a month (if you play everyday) or so and about 3-4 months to get tired of the current content. I'm pretty sure mythic would have released new stuff by then.
